Complaint What Happened I received a suspect letter in the mail. It arrived in a plain white envelope with no return address. The letter was a poor attempt at an official looking document. It had no signature from a Judge or magistrate or any official stamps or marking from the clerk. The letter was fraudulent. I made contact with the Sheriff 's Dept of the county on the letter about a company sending letters from the court that fraudulently being sent. I was told to disregard. Several more came so I disregarded them. On XXXX XXXX I was served an XXXX XXXX XXXX With the threat of XXXX if I did not appear. I have no knowledge of a debt or judgement against me from XXXX. A debt validation letter was sent asking for information on the original debt because it could be fraud or identify theft. The collection agency ( debt buyer ) said the did not have to comply. The insufficient and in proper service of process was a blatant and deliberate tactical use of the court proceeding to gain a favorable ruling.
