BK Technologies (BK) subscriber radios are interoperable with Motorola P25 trunking systems, Harris P25 trunking systems and 100% interoperable with the P25 standard adopted by the US Government. BK radios are CAP tested per the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). BK radios are manufactured in the USA as an American Made P25 radio (American Manufacturer) following the highest standards for First Responders and the Department of Defense (DOD) for Federal, State & Local. Features include AES encryption FIPS 140-2 Level 3, Over The Air Rekeying (OTAR), Over The Air Programming (OTAP), GPS, 5 Year warranty on the BKR 9000 Multi-band portable radio, Link Layer Authentication (LLA), P25 trunking FDMA Phase 1 & TDMA Phase II. BK provides LMR equipment, installation and service support.
Software as a Service (SAAS) allows for cellphones to talk to Land Mobile Radios (LMR), similar to LTE.
