Employees were installing roofing material on a low slope residential roof without the use of any type of personal fall arrest system. Eave to ground height measured approximately 8 feet 6 inches. Employees were installing roofing material on a low slope residential roof. Employees were using an extension ladder to gain access to the upper landing surface. The ladder side rails were not extended a minimum of 3 feet above the upper landing surface. Eave to ground height measured approximately 8 feet 6 inches. Gary T. Bringman Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 471039, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on 7/16/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 1435 Westway Drive, Sarasota, FL 34236. The employee used the ladder to access the roof to perform a roof inspection.
