29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. a.) On or about June 29, 2023, in the Carpenter Shop: Employees were exposed to excessive amounts of dust on the floor, ceilings, walls, and equipment tables. b.) On or about June 29, 2023, in the High Bay Area where Fiberglass is grinded and sanded and bags of Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) are opened: the floor and work area was not kept clean and orderly, in that there was a significant buildup of GFRC dust, and molds and other materials were being stored haphazardly throughout the area. c.) On or about June 29, 2023, in the Casting Area: The area was not kept clean and orderly due to the fiberglass and styrene mixture overspray, along with fiberglass materials, trash, and hoses being strewn across the floor. |
