Citation text line | 29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(viii): An aerial lift truck shall not be moved when the boom is elevated in a working position with men in the basket, except for equipment which is specifically designed for this type of operation in accordance with the provisions of paragraphs (a)(1) and (2) of this section: On or about 01/18/2024, at 997 Hillsboro Mile, Hillsboro Beach, Hillsboro, Florida, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard while moving an aerial lift over an 11- to 13-degree slope while the boom was in an elevated position, causing the equipment to tip over to its side, and the operator falling to the ground while tied-off to the basket. |
