Detachable side protectors (e.g. clip-on or slide-on side shields) meeting the pertinent requirements of this section are acceptable. a. On or about March 23, 2017 the employer did not assure employees using pneumatic nail guns were protected from impact of flying objects to the eyes, by the use of safety glasses or goggles. One employee was observed installing roof sheathing and truss blocking using an Hitachi Pneumatic Nail Gun and was not wearing safety glasses, or goggles. |
