29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: (a) On or about May 1, 2024, at 225 Melbourne Avenue, Merritt Island, FL, 32953: employees used a multi positioned ladder that was set approximately 30-inches above the roof landing to access the work area on the roof, thus exposing the employees to fall hazards of 8-feet 9-inches to the lower ground. |
