29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b): a. Employees performing residential roofing work at elevations of six feet or more above the ground are not protected from fall hazards up to 12 feet on a 6:12 pitch roof. The employer fails to assure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on August 21, 2015, when employees were tearing off old roofing shingles at a residential house, located at 1645 Rusty Rail Road in Jacksonville, Florida 32225, without fall protections and were exposed to fall hazards up to 12 feet.
