29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems: a) At 1437 Purple Lane, North Port, FL: On or about April 04, 2023, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that, fall protection was not utilized by employees while performing roofing work. Douglass Restoration Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1511231, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on April 16, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 11806 Colyar Lane, Parrish, FL 34219. |

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where (a) portable ladder(s) was/were used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect, and/or a grasping device was not provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder. a) At 1437 Purple Lane, North Port, FL: On or about April 04, 2023, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that, access portable ladder was not installed 3 feet above the upper landing surface and not secured. Douglass Restoration Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1511231, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on April 16, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 11806 Colyar Lane, Parrish, FL 33948. |
