29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a. Employees performing sheathing work on the roof sheathing and trusses six feet or more above the ground are not protected from fall hazards by a fall protection system. The employer fails to assure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on August 4, 2017, when the owner and employees were attaching sheathing on the roof trusses for a 5:12 pitch roof of a one-story residence at 9488 Thorn Glen Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32223 without the use of complete fall protection systems and were exposed to fall hazards of 8 feet 8 inches. L N Framing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1077825, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on August 19, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 9435 Thorn Glen Road, Jacksonville, Florida. |
