29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a. On or about March 7, 2018, on a 6:12 pitch tile roof, an employee applying roofing tile cement on the left roof tower, did not have an anchor to attach his personal fall arrest system to and was exposed to a 24-foot, 4-inch fall hazard. b. On or about March 7, 2018, on a 6:12 pitch tile roof, an employee applying roofing tile cement on the center roof tower, did not have an anchor to attach his personal fall arrest system to and was exposed to a 26-foot, 6-inch fall hazard. Ford Roofing Systems, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1171230, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on September 22, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 12988 Meritage Boulevard in Jacksonville, Florida 32246. Ford Roofing Systems, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1131607, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on March 24, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 583 Coastal Oak Lane in Atlantic Beach, Florida 32233. |
