Gil Cloutier Roofs, Rooms, Renovations & Repairs, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315482521, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on January 17, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 808 Tortoise Way, Jacksonville, Florida, 32218. 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b): a. On or about February 14, 2014, on the 7:12 pitch roof, employees performing roofing operations were not protected from a 13 feet 8-inch fall hazard from the gable by the use of a fall protection system. b. On or about February 14, 2014, on the 7:12 pitch roof, employees performing roofing operations were not protected from an 8 feet fall hazard on the north side of the house by the use of a fall protection system. c. On or about February 14, 2014, on the 7:12 pitch roof, employees performing roofing operations were not protected from a 10 feet fall hazard on the east and south side of the house by the use of a fall protection system. |
