29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels are not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, a personal fall arrest system, or an alternative fall protection measure as provided by another provision in paragraph (b) of this section: a. Employees working at elevations greater than 6 feet from the ground or lower levels while performing residential framing are not being protected from fall hazards by a fall protection system. The employer fails to assure effective fall protection against falls as required by the standard as most recently demonstrated on August 23, 2017, on the first floor when framing employees installing trusses were exposed to an eleven feet fall hazard, in that they were not protected by a fall protection system.
