29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): The employer did not keep exit route(s) free and unobstructed: a) At J & R Bicycles, Inc. , located at 7000 Bryan Dairy Rd, B-1, Largo, FL: On or about April 12, 2023, the emergency exit door near the outgoing shipping door on the west side of the warehouse was obstructed by boxes of bicycle parts, helmets and accessories which exposes employees to entrapment and fire hazards. To abate this hazard, the employer must ensure that exit doors are kept free and unobstructed. |

29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): Except as provided elsewhere in this section 29 CFR 1910.28, the employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level is protected from falling by one or more of the systems described in 29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): a) At J & R Bicycles, Inc. , located at 7000 Bryan Dairy Rd, B-1, Largo, FL: On or about April 12, 2023, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that the second level storage area of the warehouse which is 102 inches in height, or more than 4 feet above the next lower level, had one unprotected side or edge that was not protected by a guardrail system. b) At J & R Bicycles, Inc. , located at 7000 Bryan Dairy Rd, B-1, Largo, FL: On or about April 12, 2023, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that the second level storage area of the warehouse which is 102 inches in height, or more than 4 feet above the next lower level, had one unprotected side or edge that had a guardrail system that was separated from the unprotected edge by approximately 5.5 to 6.5 inches. |
