29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii). On or about August 9, 2018, at jobsite located 200 Hypoluxo Road, Hypoluxo, FL 33462, employees while removing and installing asphalt roofing materials and/or equipment were exposed to approximately 20 feet above ground level on a 5:12 sloped roof fall hazard, the employer had not provided the employees with training by a competent person who was qualified (capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards, and who has authorization to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate them) who was qualified (recognized degree, certificate, or professional standing, or extensive knowledge, training, and experience, and demonstrated ability); so as to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. |
