I was contacted by Weinberg Mediation Group with a recorded message insinuating that legal action was pending against me and that the " authorities '' in my " jurisdiction '' would be notified that I was uncooperative with efforts to resolve a " legal matter ''. The intent of the message was clearly intimidation and left the impressive that I would be in serious legal trouble if I did n't not make an immediate payment to this company that I had NEVER had any previous contact with.
I made a call back to the number that called me and my spouse spoke to a woman who refused any information and stated she did not have to verify the debt, that it was my responsibility and when asked that they contact me only via USPS she disconnected the call.

I received a called on X/XX/17 from the phone # XXXX. The caller left a message that they were calling for XXXX XXXX and stated that there is a problem with my name and social security number. They were calling from Weinberg Mediation Group and that myself or my attorney have failed to contact them regarding this matter and since I have n't taken any action that I 'm not being compliant. First of, I have not received any communications regarding problems with my name and social security. And with all the fraud cases I 'm not calling someone to give them or discuss such a delicate subject. I can only assume this is a debt collector using a lie to get me to call them back. The call back # is XXXX not XXXX which they called from and in their website it states they are a debt collector. For what debt I have no idea.

The company has claimed to be from a law firm and states that I am currently being sued. I have tried to set up payment via these phone calls with this company previously and only one payment went through, it was cancelled on their end and the harassing phone calls continued. They do not call my cell phone. They call my mother and harass her by telling her they have all of her private information such as her social security number and all previous addresses. We have asked to resolve this and stop the harassing phone calls with no success. The amount owed is less than {$500.00} and it is on a credit card from 3-4 years ago.

I called back one of the numbers and the guy started flirting with me automatically I knew that these ppl are a scam. here are the numbers please do something so that they can stop calling an harassing ppl. A received a threatening " robocall '' today at XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Here is what the robocall said ( paraphrasing ) : This is a final courtesy call from the Weinberg mediation group. Before reporting that you've been uncooperative in the investigation against you. If we do not hear from either yourself or your legal representation today. We will be left with no recourse other than to report your non-compliance in this issue to the proper jurisdiction. Our office number is XXXX.
The problem is, i do not owe anyone for past debts or any unpaid debt other than what is on my credit report that i pay timely.
I googled this number and several complaints have been noted from calls all over the US asking you to call another number. This is a SCAM.

on X/XX/17 at approximately XXXX XXXX, I received a call from XXXX ( from XXXX, AZ ). I did n't answer it and a message was left. The message said " This is a final courtesy call from the Weinberg Mediation Group before reporting that you have been uncooperative in the investigation against you I 'm extending you one last chance to contact our office if we do not hear from either yourself or your legal representation today. We will be left with no recourse other than to report your non-compliance in this issue to the parties involved our office number is XXXX when calling please have your file number ready. Thank you. '' I do n't owe any money aside from my credit cards and car lease, which I pay. This man who left the message sounded ominous and scary. He had a threatening tone and I do n't even know what he 's talking about. About 10 minutes prior to the call and the message being left, I received another call from XXXX ( North Dakota ). I 'm assuming both of those calls came from this " Weinberg Group. '' I did n't answer that one either and in that call, a message was not left. I blocked both those numbers and am filing this complaint, but I have a feeling they have plenty more numbers which they can call and harass me from. If they have the information they say they have, they can send me the information through the mail with actual information on it. They are not entitled to a fishing expedition and extortion tactics.

Company has been calling my previous job. After contacting them I asked why I didnt receive a letter in the mail or a phone call on my personal phone, she stated she didnt know why. I asked for a letter stating the debt and my options of any, she refused and said she could do it via email. I stated I needed a letter in the mail, and she said I do not have time to mail anything as a judgment will be sent over to your local court house tomorrow. And they will put a judgment on your name, and garnish your wages. I asked why she was talking to me in the tone she was talking to me in, and she hung up on me. I tried to call back and the number is not working now, and my calls wont go through.
