After 2 years of terrible service and overbilling by XXXX XXXX we terminated our lease and service with them at a corporate store. This was done on XXXX XXXX 2017. Approximately 2 months later we received a letter from a collection agency demanding payment of {$720.00}. Prior to this we had not received any bills from XXXX since we cancelled our service. When we left the corporate store on XXXX XXXX 2017 we were assured that we had done everything necessary and we owed nothing more. When we called the XXXX customer service number listed on the letter we were treated very nasty and told they could not do anything and that we had to go to the corporate store to fix it. We then we back to the same corporate store on Sat XXXX XXXX 2017. We spoke to the assistanct manager there and showed her the receipts we had from the date we terminated service. She also looked everything up on the computer to confirm. We were offered a copy of the bill ( which we never received ) for service going past our date that we terminated our service. The assistant store manager agreed that we did everything that we were supposed to do and we called customer service while at the store. She verified to customer service that we returned and terminated on XXXX XXXX 2017 and that this was not an error on our part but in fact an error on XXXX part. The answer from customer service was there was nothing they could do even with the assistant store manager offering to give them proof. Customer service would not transfer us to a manager on their side and told us to take it up with the coolection agency. This is fraudulant billing and they are threatening to stain my credit. After searching online they have done these dirty business practices to hundreds of other people.

I had an old subscription to XXXX XXXX for years. Since I didn ' received all the issues, when I received a mail in XX/XX/XXXX asking for renew ( always by Credit Card ) I didn't do it.
Today, dated XXXX XXXX XXXX I received a menacing letter from a collecting Agency : North Shore Agency, asking for " my debt '' with the magazine ( that indeed I didn't receive never after the last subscription ) and " offering a 'friendly ' renew of the subscription ''. I'm responding the follow to : XXXX XXXX -- -- -- -- -- -- XXXX -- -- -- -- -- -- Dear Sirs, I just received your letter enclosed. I regret to state the follow : - I never ask for a credit nor renew from XXXX since the last and only mail received from XXXX, that I copy below, dated XX/XX/XXXX.
- I didnt renew nor ask sents, then I dont owe nothing. Previous years was paid by CCard.
- Unfortunately, I didnt receive at least half of the isues of my previous subscription, since many, many years. This conduct to dont renew it. I dont know if it was due to XXXX fails, or my courier fails, but they say that they didnt received the issues in XXXX. I live in XXXX and my address in XXXX is a forwarding courier.
- Of course, I didny received ANY of the supposed previous letters from XXXX that you mention. Only ONE was the OFFER ( rejected ) of XX/XX/XXXX.
I say the late as feedback only. The main point is -as I said- I didnt renew any subscription, and the proof is that I always charge it to a C.Card, and it was not charged, because I DIDNT renew it. Stop. I dont know what point could be no clear.
I dont know what kind of scam is this, but -by the way- Im copying to XXXX and doing a claim in the FTC ( thriugh https : //complaint.consumerfinance.govXXXX ) If you or XXXX did a mistake, please be so kind to correct.
