Regarding my son XXXX XXXX born XXXX XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX.I received a bill in the amount of {$530.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX but to my sons XXXX he was rushed to the Hospital. I contacted the number on the bill, I gave the rep my Insurance info with XXXX. Not sure what exactly happened but somehow they billed Medicaid instead, therefore making this billing error their mistake. since they could n't collect from medicaid since i do not have medicaid they sent my account to a collection agency called Bay Area Credit and they are now charging me {$540.00} as they are adding interest to my original bill. I then called XXXX XXXX again spoke to the rep to let her know that they are billing the wrong Dept as I do not have medicaid, she said it was the same thing but it is n't plus i know my insurance was n't billed cause when i log into XXXX I dont even see the bill at all as denied or paid so it was n't out through to my proper Insurance, the customer service rep for XXXX even gave me an claim id XXXX, she told me that she would resubmit the bill and that she is putting a 30 day hold by sending collections an email until they collect payment from XXXX that was on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Now its XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I receive another letter from Bay Area Credit Service in my sons name trying to collect a debt, saying that they will effect his credit report, how can they collect from a minor, as my son is XXXX and why charge a late fee for a bill that was n't paid because of XXXX XXXX XXXX 's billing mistakes. There billing department is constantly billing to medicaid even though i inform them it is incorrect, therefore if my Insurance was n't even billed why was my sons account sent to collection? So resin his credit a minor or mine as his guardian and charge a late fee even though this was 100 % their mistake? This is wrong! Please help me with this matter!

HOWEVER, THERE WERE 3 ACCOUNTS AND ONLY 2 WERE REMOVED. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? THAT ACCOUNT THAT REMAINED WAS THEN UPDATED TO A COLLECTION. WHERE IS THE DOCUMENTATION? WHY WASN'T I NOTIFIED OR GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY PRIOR TO RESEARCH THIS FALSE CLAIM.
THE SYSTEM IS FLAWED, IT'S NOT FAIR TO JUST APPEAR ON MY REPORT AND IMPACT MY LIFE AND NOW I HAVE TO FIGHT TO REMOVE IT AS OPPOSED TO CONTACTING ME VERIFYING AND CONFIRMING IT IS MY DEBT PRIOR TO THIS ACTION.

Bay Area Credit Service has failed to provide me with any real proof the debt belongs to me. They do not have any signature of mine binding me to any type of contractual agreement to pay them. Further more they have violated the Hippa Law by providing me with diagnosis, procedures and charges via mail that is not pertaining to me. I want this debt closed and removed immediately.

I recieved a notice that a medical bill ( wrongfully ) went to Bay Area collection agency. I contacted the collection agency as per the notice. The person I spoke to was rude and tried to push me into making a payment right then and there. When I explained my situation ( grieving the bill with my insurance company ) he tried to make it sound like I was refusing to resolve the debt because I was not going to make a payment that very day. I asked him about a payment plan and was told the amount of money I could afford ( {$50.00} per month ) was insufficient and that if I did not pay it off in 4 - 6 months ( {$1000.00} per month ), they would send it to further collections and possibly onto my credit report regardless of being on a payment plan. I did not make a payment that day because I wanted to call the billing department and my insurance to determine what was going on. I recieved 6 more calls from them over the course of two weeks. Each time thay I answered, I said I could pay {$50.00} per month and was told again that it was not enough and that I needed to " look at it from the business aspect ''. They did offer a {$600.00} discount if I paid in full, but I can not afford to pay {$5500.00} in full. I finally managed to get on a payment plan for {$50.00} per month under their terms that it was auto debited every month, but was told that this payment plan would only last through XX/XX/XXXX ( 6 months ) before they send it into further collections which could possibly hurt my credit score. Calling 6 times over the course of 2 weeks ( two of those calls in a matter of a few hours ) is completely unnecessary and embarassing when I am having these conversations infront of my family members, especially considering I have been trying to do what I can afford to resolve this debt and every time have been told " you are clearly not interested in fixing this problem. '' I am a mother of two who accumulated this debt from an XXXX XXXX that quite possibly saved my life. I am a real person with real responsibilities trying to make ends meet and do not appreciate being told that what I can afford is not enough and I do not appreciate being harassed when I am clearly trying to fix this problem with what I have. Luckily, I am a XXXX and off for XXXX, otherwise these calls would have been recieved infront of my students and collegues.

XX/XX/XXXX XXXX received a fraudulent collection notice from the Bay Area Credit Service for the collection of a debt for medical service rendered at XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) room. This service was not provided, the bill is not valid and because of the facts below it 's highly probable that an Unauthorized Disclosure of Personal Identifiable Information has occured. The details follow : On or about XXXX XXXX XXXX the receipt of multiple falsified medical bills were delivered to the residence and I took action to correct the error. The bills were from XXXX, Emerald Coast Pathology Associates and XXXX. I spoke to the XXXX office and the XXXX former accounts appear to be resolved. Due to the fact the personal identifiable information provided to the staff did not match the information for the person that received care. However, for the XXXX fraudulent charge. I was informed to speak directly to the billing agents. I called the same day and provided the details of the charge and I was informed by the agent that the bill would be placed on hold and a return call would occur detailing the results of the fraudulent charge investigation. The same bill continued to be delivered and subsequent calle were made to address the fraudulent charges. I was told by the agency the charges would be addressed but a notice of collection was still received for services that were not rendered and can be verified easily by comparing and contrasting in close detail the personal information on the charges.

Representative from credit agency utilizing phone number # XXXX was very rude and harassed me on XXXX XXXX at around XXXX while I was at work.
Incident : I answered the phone call while at work, initially the person did not identify themselves, when I asked who this was he advised " he was attempting to collect a debt ''. I listened to him and advised I would be making payment however could not do so at this time. Advised by the end of the month the debt would be paid. He proceeded to state he needed a " debit card or check now '' advised I was at work and unable to provide that information, he then stated " you do n't have a debit card on you?? you need to walk to your car and get to secure this payment ''. After again advising I was at work and unable to do so he said when can I call you back today. I advised at around XXXX, he then stated " so you have to promise to answer your phone at that time '' If you do not legal action may occur. I then stated if I see the phone ring I will answer the call, he stated " no, you need to promise to answer the phone ''. I remarked I 'm unable to make that promise. At which point rep proceeded to get nastier stating why ca n't I pay this debt. I hung up when he would not stop with the harassment. Since then the number has called twice and I have not answered, no message was left.
I do not feel this type of behavior is needed nor should I have to endure it no matter the debt owed.

XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Nurse Practitioner, XXXX XXXX, billed my medical insurance company, Florida XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for Ms. XXXX treatment for my XXXX injury at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Florida XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX, denied the claim because XXXX XXXX refused to provide additional information they requested to further process the claim. XXXX XXXX later turned it over to a collection agency after they had been notified by the insurance company and me that additional information was needed. The claim has now been posted as an uncollected debt on my credit bureau reports. Florida XXXX informed me that I was not responsible for that insurance claim and bill since the company and the nurse practitioner failed to comply with their request for additional documentation as they are an in-network provider for them. I have also filed complaints with the State of Florida Attorney General 's Office, the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration, Florida Board of Nursing, and the State of Florida Chief Financial Officer 's Investigative Bureau.
I find it rather strange that you and your company will not work with the hospital or Florida XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX in resolving this matter. HCA Ethics and Compliance representative, XXXX XXXX, contacted me on Friday, XX/XX/XXXX stating someone from XXXX XXXX would be getting in touch with me. They can not determine what happened either and were calling me for documentation when they could not obtain anything from your company. It is now Monday afternoon, XX/XX/XXXX, and I have not heard anything. We are trying to restore our home following extensive damages sustained from Hurricane Michael. We had to withdraw our mortgage loan application for additional funds because this is reported as an uncollected debt on my credit bureau report.

For months this company has been reporting inaccurate, unverifiable, erroneous things on my credit report and I am sick of it!! This company is reporting NEGATIVE and INVALID information on my credit report and is severely affecting my credit score. The account information that this company is providing can not be proven because they do not have the original signed document saying that I owe them a debt which is A direct violation of my CIVIL RIGHTS according to the FCRA section 609. I have received a response that does not indicate or prove : 1. I had this service. 2. What services I am being charged for. 3. What the cost of each service I am being charged for. I will proceed with legal action as prescribed by law against the above-named original creditor/collection agency.
A response with a bill is NOT evidence of proof that the debt is mine. Anyone can open an account under my name for which a bill is produced, but that doesn't mean it was actually me or that the debt is actually mine. I need real evidence. This evidence consists of a contract from the original creditor or some agreement bearing MY written signature agreeing to pay the debt. In the absence of this evidence I ask you to please remove this account from my credit report.
I will proceed with legal action as prescribed by law against the above-named original creditor/collection agency. Should this item not be deleted within the required time allowed by law I will seek every legal remedy available to me and file suit against the credit bureau responsible for reporting this violation.
I urge you to take this extremely seriously as I have documented my case without error. I encourage a response from you expeditiously.

I was contacted by a couple different collection agencies. Unfortunately I was not aware of the difference at the time because the representatives who contacted me spoke in a mumbled voice and had heavy accents. Bay Area Credit Service stated that I owed them {$2000.00} on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. I spoke to them on the phone several times however we did not reach an agreement for the settlement. I continued to be contacted, unaware of the new agency, and continued to try to settle. At this time I was being contacted by XXXX who started to contact me on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX in reference to the same account number. Finally on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I reached a settlement with Bay Area Credit Services to pay my account number XXXX. I received a paid in full receipt and the agreement in writing. The original debt was still the " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' debt I was talking to them about this whole time. Well when I check my credit report I was sent to collections by " Credence '' for the XXXX debt which I thought I had settle earlier that month. Bay Area told me specifically that I was paying my debt from the " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' in full with them in the amount agreed upon. I did not know that part of the debt had been forwarded elsewhere, and they tricked me into believing that I was cleared out this debt in full. Had I known this I would of continued to try to settle the debt.

I have been disputing with the XXXX credit companies about Bay Area Credit Service since XX/XX/XXXX of an account that they have in my credit file reporting since XXXX, XXXX XXXX. I sent certified mail requesting validation of debt, Bay Area received and signed for the certificate letter on XX/XX/XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX they have not sent me any proof of debt HOWEVER THEY keep RE-REORTING the same collection account every other day, in order to lower my score. Attached is certified mail sent to Bay Area. This company takes advantage of the consumer by doing as much harm as they can inflict.
I respectfully request from CFPB to have this collection account deleted from my XXXX XXXX XXXX. And have them sanction

I need this resolve, under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, these disputed items may not appear on my credit report if they can not be supported by any evidence ( 1 ) In general No person ( company ) shall sell, transfer for consideration, or place for collection a debt that such person has been notified under section 1681c-2 of this title has resulted from identity theft.
( 2 ) Applicability The prohibitions of this subsection shall apply to all persons collecting a debt described in paragraph ( 1 ) after the date of a notification under paragraph ( 1 ).
( 3 ) Rule of construction Nothing in this subsection shall be construed to prohibit -- ( A ) The repurchase of a debt in any case in which the assignee of the debt requires such repurchase because the debt has resulted from identity theft ; ( B ) the securitization of a debt or the pledging of a portfolio of debt as collateral in connection with a borrowing ; or ( C ) the transfer of debt as a result of a merger, acquisition, purchase and assumption transaction, or transfer of substantially all of the assets of an entity.
A person that furnishes information to any consumer reporting agency shall have in place reasonable procedures to respond to any notification that it receives from a consumer reporting agency under section 1681c-2 of this title relating to information resulting from identity theft, to prevent that person from refurnishing such blocked information.

Went to an XXXX and was not told the Dr treating me was not in my insurance plan even though the hospital is in my plan. Got bill for $ XXXX+ and tried to dispute with my insurance company and hospital. Time went by and got denied by insurance company. In the meantime got a settlement offer from the hospital. Bill was paid immediately via the hospitals website. Started getting collection calls from Bay Area Credit. Multiple calls per day on home and cell phone. Indicated I had paid debt. They then said there were XXXX debts for the XXXX and i paid XXXX but not the other. We never received XXXX bills only the XXXX.
