I rented a car on XXXX. I paid for the entire I found out within two hours that the car 's AC was not functional so I informed the owner of the car within 2 hours of having taken the car and realizing the AC was not working, he apologized and offered to replace it with a car with a working AC. I went back returned the car and picked up the other car ( which had AC working but had its own issues such as no central locking, car tired had really low tread on them etc. ). I had rented the car for my vacation and moved forward with it ( WITH NO CHANGE TO THE ORIGINAL DATE S TRIP LENGTH OR ANYTHING ELSE ). Upon my return the car has a flat and was towed back to the owner. It was returned 11 hours ahead of the scheduled return time so my trop is actually cut short because of the flat. Either ways, XXXX and owner confirm condition at the time of checking it back in and is same as it was checked out. And a month into it XXXX comes back and bills me an additional {$150.00}. They say they need to charge me one day use of the first car and then then full trip length for the second car. That's what the {$150.00} is for. This is unreasonable. I faced the inconvinience of first the AC not working, then the care going flat ( because of the low tread on the tires I claim ) and I provided them the explanation back. They have since sent the item over to collections - a company called FCR Services. I have again explained to FCR services now three times that they MUST stop bothering me for this charge as it is an illegitimate charge on part of XXXX but they keep calling me and are now threatening that they will send to to the credit bureaus which will impact my credit report. I am attaching all my email communication with FCR services in the attachment. Besides the email I have also provided them the same clarification on voice and yet they are relentless.
I need action taken against not just XXXX services but XXXX as well by the CFPB to help with this. A search on the internet will reveal I am not alone. There are many many XXXX customers who have been charged by XXXX and pursued relentlessly while XXXX takes no action against their hosts even for their valid fault since if the hosts withdraw from XXXX, XXXX XXXX business will be impacted. Its a game of numbers.. There are more people looking to rent. a car than willing to rent out there's and this works to the disadvantage of the consumers who want to rent a car. PLEASE TAKE ACTION!

I got a phone call at XXXX XXXX XXXX at night and they did not leave a voicemail. When I call back it says there closed for the holiday, Why are they calling people the day after XXXX but then I cant call them back to verify what the debt is about. I also did not receive a email stating what its about and when I go to the website link given and put my information in it does not work it keeps saying those are not the valid credentials! So there calling me and not explaining what it is about and when I call them back during normal business hours it says they are closed and they did not leave a voicemail and there website does not work! Its ridiculous I will not be contacted on my private number by a debt collector at this time of night and then not know what its about caused me to have XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

I submitted a complaint through the CFPB against this company in XXXX, 2023 regarding a debt that was previously adjudicated through my credit card. I was advised by the company, through this website, that my account was closed.
Today, XX/XX/2023, I received written notice from the company regarding same debt. When I attempted to dispute it online, as the letter said I could, the website directed me to call - I have no idea why they say disputes can be completed online when all their site does is refer people to call.
I did call, was not able to understand the persons name, but the call was placed at XXXX EST. I provided the account number on the letter and was advised that the company was told XXXX week ago not to contact me ( this is not true - I received notification in XXXX this was over ) They are still trying to contact me after saying they would stop - she assured me I would not receive anything else, but they did that in XXXX. This needs to stop. The debt was already adjudicated.

The dates will be found on the letter attached. There are several dates that this collection agency called me while on work and have not opted me into text without my authorization. I mailed the letter to dispute and to cease all communication until they process my dispute and send a letter resolution but instead they have increased the amount of calls just to hang up and leave many voicemails. I feel very harrased.

My son took a picture of my license and my credit card without my knowledge. He rented a XXXXXXXX XXXX To my knowledge they do all paper work over the phone as well as the payment. The owner of the vehicle that was rented throught XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX ) just left the keys in the vehicle that was being rented. Meaning, this was a mistake on the owner 's part to just let someone take your care without meeting them.
I have been harassed for 3 years. I have complied with everything. They had a detective interview me. Even the detective said it's risky, there are a lot of car thefts. I guess XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I thought this was over after the detective didn't see me at fault, identity theft is what happened.
I spoke with XXXX they are fraudulant, they just put these charges on my credit report and reported to my car insurance after XXXX. My insurance closed the file denying their claim as there is no evidence that I had this vehichle. Again, identity theft Now I am complaining on how there services are set up for theft etc. Signatures and identification should he done in person. They would then see XXXX is a girl. My son XXXX stole my identity.
I have not been so upset with a company. They do not listen not even after the detective closed the case. My insurance closed my case. I are messing with my credit.
This should not be aloud unless there is proof of negligence on my part so they try to ruin me. Horrible!
