29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury: a) For the jobsite 7146 Kenwood Dr., North Port, FL 34287, on or about 06/26/2023, the employer exposed employees to high ambient heat from direct sunlight while installing gutters and down spouts in that, employees were not trained on the hazards of heat stress/illness awareness and what to do in event of heat illness. The calculated Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) ranged from 84� F - 93� F (29� C - 34� C) while working outdoors performing moderate manual labor and wearing long sleeves and pants. |
