29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1): Employees on scaffolds more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level were not protected from falling to that lower level by fall protection established in paragraphs (g)(1)(i)-(vii) of this section: (a) 990 Broadway, Dunedin FL, observed on or about 04/07/2022, employees in the process of lathe work on the exterior of the building were exposed to a 21'4" fall hazard, in that, a guard rail system was not installed along the top work platform of the tubular welded walk-through style frame scaffolding. Scaffolding was erected on the balcony of the 2nd floor which was 15 foot in height ground to overhang, scaffolding was 1 section high, 6'4", 3'6" wide by 7 foot long. |

(a) 990 Broadway, Dunedin FL, observed on or about 04/07/2022, employees receiving materials from the 2nd floor balcony on the west side of the building were exposed to a 14 foot fall hazard, in that an adequate temporary guard rail system was not installed. Guard rail system installed consisted of one rail installed approximately 36 inches in height. |
