On or about Month July 17, 2024, at 2527 Riverbluff Pkwy, Sarasota, FL 34231, employees were engaged in roofing work; wherein the employees were removing and then reinstalling roofing materials on a low-slope roof, less than 50 feet in width, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, during which time the employer had not prepared a written certification of training for each employee; therefore exposing the employees to a fall hazard. |

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system: a. On or about September 12, 2019, on the south slope of the roof, three roofing employees installing components for a sheet metal roof were exposed to a 26 feet fall hazard in that they were not protected by a fall protection system. NAR Roofing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1393407, Serious citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on August 26, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 300 Ryders Cup Circle, Saint Augustine, florida. |
