status report within * days ~ ***withdrawn-see 3/27/2020 order.***The appellate Public Defender in this appeal of a judgment and sentence, Glades County case 17-CF-40, has moved this court to compel the court reporter to complete transcription of in-chamber jury selection proceedings. Responses from individual court reporter Jeanne Correll and court-reporting entity Martina-Mikulice Reporting reflect a dispute over the transcription process that this court cannot directly resolve. The matter is therefore referred to Chief Judge Michael T. McHugh and court administrator Scott Wilsker for resolution. The chief judge or court administrator shall file in this court, with copies to the attorneys included in the service list of this order, a status report on the matter within 45 days of the date of this order. Copies of the motion and court reporters' responses are attached for the reference of the chief judge and court administrator.The court emphasizes that the goal of this referral process is the transcription of the in-chamber jury selection proceedings so that this appeal may proceed. The appellant's motion to compel and for an extension of time remains pending. The briefing schedule is suspended until further order.
