29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b). a. On or about November 17, 2023, at building 21- unit 4, employees were exposed to 10 feet - 5 inch fall hazards while conducting work activities on a 6/12 pitched roof, in that, fall protection was not used. b. On or about November 17, 2023, at building 16- unit 7, employees were exposed to 22 foot fall hazards while conducting work activities on a 6/12 pitched roof, in that, fall protection was not used. c. On or about November 17, 2023, at building 11 - unit 8, employees were exposed to 22 foot and 10 foot - 9 inch fall hazards while conducting work activities on a 6/12 pitched roof, in that, fall protection was not used. Gomez Quality Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1659020, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on September 1, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 4800 Cypress Woods Dr. Orlando, FL 32811 . |

On or about November 17, 2023, at unit 4, the employer did not provide the necessary PPE at no cost to the employees (fall, eye and head protection) while conducting roofing activities, exposing employees to eye injury, falls and struck by hazards. Employees purchased their own personal protective equipment. b. On or about November 17, 2023, at unit 7 the employer did not provide the necessary PPE at no cost to the employees (fall, eye and head protection) while conducting roofing activities, exposing employees to eye injury, falls and struck by hazards. Employees purchased their own personal protective equipment. c. On or about November 17, 2023, at unit 8, the employer did not provide the necessary PPE at no cost to the employees (fall, eye and head protection) while conducting roofing activities, exposing employees to eye injury, falls and struck by hazards.
