29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: a. On the roof, at a temporary, new construction, residential work site located at 3019 Ernest Street in Jacksonville, Florida 32205: On or about August 2, 2023, the employer exposed an employee to eye injury hazards created by flying debris, in that eye protection was not utilized by the employee while operating a pneumatic nail gun. b. At a temporary, new construction, residential work site located at 3019 Ernest Street in Jacksonville, Florida 32205: On or about August 2, 2023, the employer exposed two employees to eye injury hazards created by flying debris, in that eye protection was not utilized by the employees while operating portable battery-operated circular saws to cut lumber. BDM Construction and Repair, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1413085, citation number 01 item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on January 29, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 33128 Sawgrass Park Place, Lot 262, Unit 7A, Flora Parke, FL 32041. |

BDM Construction & Repair, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1413085, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on January 19, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 33128 Sawgrass Park Place, Lot 262, Unit 7A, Flora Parke, Yulee, Florida 32041. |
