ORD-SUA SPONTE ~ The record on appeal does not include a transcript of the hearing on the petition for injunction for protection against domestic violence. Although a transcript appears in the appendix filed with the initial brief, this court cannot consider that transcript in its review of this appeal because it was not made part of the trial court's record. See Fla. R. App. P. 9.220(a) ("The purpose of an appendix is to permit the parties to prepare and transmit copies of those portions of the record deemed necessary to an understanding of the issues presented." (emphasis added)); see also United States Auto. Ass'n v. Bay Area Inj. Rehab Specialists Holdings, Inc., 311 So. 3d 172, 177 (Fla. 2d DCA 2020) ("Rule 9.220(a) permits a party to cure an incomplete appendix, but only to the extent that the party is able to transmit portions of the trial court's record."). Therefore, within ten (10) days from the date of this order, Appellant shall make arrangements with the clerk of the circuit court to supplement the record with the transcript of the hearing. The supplemental record shall be filed with this court within fifteen (15) days from the date of this order.
