Complaint What Happened I was in the process of refinancing my house with standard mortgage which took almost 6 months. The refinancing started since XX/XX/2021 At closing on XXXX XXXX the disclosure were not as agreed and they wanted {$20000.00} cash to close. So I cancelled and fill out the notice of right to cancel form and email it to them the next day ( XXXX XXXX ). Yesterday ( XXXX XXXX ) I received a notice of intent to file lien in the mail from Standard Mortgage charging me {$5100.00} for mortgage and processing services. The letter does not seem legit and looks as if it been made up. I check with XXXX clerks and thee is no proof there. I am sending a letter back to them letting them know I am filling a complaint with CFPB with the email of confirmation for cancellation and the wrong the disclosure. This is not right that a mortgage company can sell you a dream and provide wrong information and then when closing time they change everything and then a month after cancelation they are trying to charge me for a mortgage that I didn't close on. Also during the whole process I paid up front appraisal, credit check and inspection etc.
