29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3): Sprocket wheels and chains which were seven (7) feet or less above floors or platforms were not enclosed: or in the alternative, 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) At the wood truss manufacturing shop, located at 4005 Maronda Way, Sanford, FL: employees from MIPS of Sanford, LLC and their temporary worker agencies including G & N Human Capital Solutions LLC were exposed to caught-in-between, crushing, pinch point, and amputation hazards in that, the MiTek Component Delivery System had a chain belt that was unguarded, on or about 1/24/2023. The MIPS OF SANFORD, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1516114, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 10-17-2022, with respect to a workplace located at 4005 Maronda Way, Sanford, FL 32771. The MIPS OF SANFORD, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1364862, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 05-24-2019, with respect to a workplace located at 4005 Maronda Way, Sanford, FL 32771. |
