29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Authorized employee(s) did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. a) For the Homag Centateq N-500 CNC Machine, on or about 03/25/2024, the employer exposed employees to potential laceration and amputation hazards, in that, authorized employees were not trained to apply locks and tags to energy isolating devices prior to conducting maintenance/servicing activity such as, but not limited to, greasing of the machine, changing bits and cleaning the machine. b) For the Altendorf WA8 sliding table saw, on or about 03/25/2024, the employer exposed employees to potential laceration and amputation hazards, in that, authorized employees were not trained to apply locks and tags to energy isolating devices prior to conducting maintenance/servicing activity such as, but not limited to, changing saw blades. |
