Employees performing roofing work are not protected from fall hazards by the use of a fall protection system. The employer fails to assure effective protections against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on or about February 8, 2023, on the open roof truss, the employer exposed three framing employees to 9-foot to 18-foot fall hazards from the eaves and down through trusses in that they were not protected by a fall protection system while installing trusses and framing. Daem Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1350370, Serious citation number 02, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on November 18, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 216 Anacapa Ct, Units 42, 44, 46 and 48, Saint Augustine, Florida 32084.
