29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On or about January 17, 2019, at the edge of a roof on the west exterior elevation of a building located at 5785 SE Pinehurst Trail in Hobe Sound, Florida, employees were exposed to a fall of approximately 14 feet when applying grout between masonry wall capstones at the unprotected edge of a walking/working surface while not being protected from falling to the lower level. T. Escobar Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(15), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1159305, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/18/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 297 Sparrow Hawk Drive in Groveland, Florida 34736. |
