Employees were using Romex brand solid copper wire as the supply cord for the metal electrical boxes that were used as extension outlets. Romex brand solid copper wiring is designed to be used as permanent installed affixed wiring. |

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) For employees working at 120 Neptune Lane in Holmes Beach, as observed on or about March 17, 2015. Employees were installing floor joists for the third floor of a residential home without the use of fall protection. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of 8 feet 1 1/2 inches to the second floor and over 30 feet to the ground below. b) For employees working at 120 Neptune Lane in Holmes Beach, as observed on or about March 17, 2015. Employees were constructing and erecting walls on the second floor with an unprotected edge. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 10 feet . to the first floor. Keith Kleppinger Construction Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501 (b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314843392, citation number 01, item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on September 20, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at 310 68th Street in Holmes Beach, FL. |
