29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On or about August 28, 2019, at a new residential construction located at 109 Federal Hwy, West Palm Beach, FL, 33401, an employee was exposed to an 8-foot fall hazard, as he straddled the top frame of a tubular welded scaffold and a steel beam, while installing a rebar beam in a concrete wall, without using any means of conventional fall protection system. Forshee Construction was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard in OSHA inspection 1926/501(b)(1), Citation #1, Item # 2, with respect to a workplace located at 236 Castlewood Drive, North Palm Beach, FL, 33408. The citation was issued on 08/12/2019 and became a final order on 06/25/2019. |
