My name is XXXX XXXX and I need your help to get my vehicle title released from Rapid Auto Loans. In XXXX I was going through some rough patches in my life and I needed to pull a loan so I put my XXXX XXXX up for collateral. I went through a company called Rapid Loans. This loan was paid in full. XXXX XXXX I went through a divorce and again needed financial help so I did another loan using my XXXX XXXX as collateral. When my divorce finalized and I got money I was entitled to I paid the loan in full XX/XX/XXXX. I was keeping the vehicle so I did not contact XXXX to make sure the lein had been cleared on my vehicle and trusted the company to do their part after I did mine. Here we are XXXX over 2 years later and I am trying to sell my XXXX XXXX and I find out there is a lean against my vehicle. I have called this company everyday for 2 weeks multiple times and talked to multiple people. All parties I have spoken to says they have escalated my call to upper management but says there is no time frame they will get to it when they can. They also say they have no contact information for " upper management '' that my lean has been escalated to. I am attempting to file fraud charges with XXXX at this point with no time frame as to the release with that either. I have exhausted my options daily trying to resolve this dilemma and the XXXX XXXX customer service just says I can call every day and the result will not change. Can you please advise me on what to do next or help me to contact " upper management '' as they call it to find out why this company won't do their part after I have done mine? Please help I work a 40 hour a week job and I'm exhausted trying to get through to these people.Thank you my contact information is included please help me with my situation.

On XX/XX/2020 I entered into a Tittle Loan with Rapid Auto Loan, LLC. The amount I borrowed was $ XXXX@ 31.54 %, which I thought was too high, but because of my financial hardship due to the Covid-19 pandemic I felt that I had no choice in taking the loan, I did not have a job at the time of the loan and due to me not finding employment due to the pandemic. I reached out to Rapid Auto Loans, LLC and explained that I was unable to repay the loan, due to my extreme financial hardship. I was told by Rapid Auto Loan, via text that my payout to avoid repossession was {$3000.00}, which is 200 % of the amount borrowed, ( screen shot attached ).
It is my belief that Rapid Auto Loan, LLC engaged in a predatory action in loaning me the money, knowing that I was not working and wouldn't be able to repay the loan, in which they could repossess my vehicle.

Rapid Auto Loan Issues Aged Reports For 4 months I informed Rapid Auto of aged reporting issues where their system reflecting inaccurate information.Their system was adding an extra 30 Days to my payment status. In example, if I am 1 day late, the rapid auto loan system was showing 31 days late. It took them several months to fix an issue which should have been resolved in minutes. This has caused harassing phone calls and texts related to issue.Harassment Rapid Auto sends several texts daily stating the my vehicle has been dispatched for repossession. The statement is an illegal form of collections which stresses the customer. If I am late with a payment, I set an arrangement with the company and make the payment on the stated date. The texts they use to agitate or harass their customers is illegal. My vehicle has never been out for repossession as it incurs additional costs for the lender and customer. Rapid would also need to attempt to cure the current status before dispatching any vehicle for repossession. This falls under unfair business practices and should be prevented by any lender.Pay off - At 26 % interest, I have requested a payoff from Rapid for 3 months and have not received a call back to settle the account. I am incurring an additional XXXX dollars monthly in interest fees that I have been trying to avoid. I sent several request to XXXX to settle the account with an adjustment to the payoff amount. Rapid is choosing to ignore the request in an effort to maintain interest payments through the term of this loan. I would have saved XXXX dollars so far in interest payments if they provided me the adjusted payoff 3 months ago. I have requested another payoff with XXXX payments left which would save me XXXX dollars. I am requesting a final payoff from Rapid of XXXX which also includes the 3 months of interest payments in which they ignored.Rapid auto loans has no language in contract regarding prepayment and has included 12 months of interest in the principal they say i owe. Since I have been trying to pay this early, I am not liable for additional interest payments. The loan needs to be settled at fair value and I have been trying to do this for3 months now. They dont respond and forces me to make the payments monthly.They should be investigated for how they manage interest accruals in contracts and charge their customers.I am requesting that CFPB discuss these practices with the lender and ensure these issues are resolved. Rapid Auto should not be in the business of lending considering these concerns. I am sure others have experienced these deceptive practices by the company. They should be audited and fined for these occurrences. I am also requesting their license be put under review while CFPB investigates these claims.Thanks,

Now the other day XXXX recalled me from rapid loans then emailed me afte tried explaining to him that I sent A cease and desist written as well as text as well as email. He explained to I broke the law that committed felony and that he was going to report me to the cops since I didn't work out a Payment option. I explained to over and over and says he keep writings me and give this information over to the police. He called me a fraud person. He told I intended to do this on purpose. I received a title loan from this company and paid off the loan on XX/XX/2022. To date, Rapid Auto Loans, have not released my title even though they sent me a letter showing that the loan is paid in full. According to their loan agreement and according to the Florida Statute, this company has 30 days to report the payoff to the DMV and release the title. In fact, the loan agreement, states that they release the title within 10 days from the payoff. I've been given a complete runaround as to when the title will be released. In fact, they informed me that they do not have a timeframe as to when they will release the title. I contacted the DMV supervisor who also called this company and she was told the same thing " we don't have a timeframe when will release the title. '' She also informed me that she was told that this company admitted that they are holding several titles that need to be released. This is absurd. I decided to sell my vehicle and I've lost 3 sales due to the fact that I can not obtain a title due to the company has not submitted any information to the DMV.

I obtained a loan in XXXX of 2016 from Rapid Auto Loans in XXXX, FL. I ultimately defaulted on the loan and attempted to contact this vendor. I was called multiple times by XXXX XXXX XXXX and had attempted to settle this loan. Due to the convoluted process in paying this loan off, I was unable to complete this task. twice, I called them in an attempt to pay the settlement offer. I went to register my vehicle and there was a registration stop on my vehicle. I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX who after multiple calls in the same day, were able to guide me through the process of paying the settlement. I had asked that now the account had been settled to release the registration stop on my vehicle. XXXX advised me that they did not put the registration stop on my vehicle and that I would have to speak with Rapid Auto Loans. I called Rapid Auto Loans and they advised me that they did not have my file. I called XXXX XXXX XXXX and they advised me that it will take up to 10 days to transfer my file back to Rapid Auto Loans. Once Rapid Auto Loans receives my file, the will begin the process of closing the account. They advised me that this can take up to 21 days. Even though this account has been paid, my wife can not drive her vehicle as the registration on her vehicle is expired and we can not renew until they stop the registration hold. This company is infamous on dragging their feet to do anything and I feel like we are being held hostage after paying this off due to a legal loophole that does not cover the consumer with regards to legal issues not needing to be handled on a more immediate basis. Now, my wife has no ability to pick up our children from school when needed which is almost daily.

Almost one year ago, I got a {$300.00} loan from rapid auto loan. I sm paying {$150.00}. XXXX per month, but being on a fixed income, I have to get extensions. When I call, all they give are 5 day extensions, then threaten repossession. I have explained to them that all I get are my late husband 's disability check and I have rent and bills to pay. They don't want to hear it, even though I have asked for the payment date to be changed or possibly reduced, all I hear is that they can't do it.

I wish to complain concerning the loan practices and repossession of my XXXX XXXX XXXX ( VALUE {$12000.00} ) by the above referenced company.
In XX/XX/XXXX I took a {$4000.00} loan from Rapid Auto Loans. Within the first 60 days of taking the loan a forced place insurance was added making the payment go from XXXX a month to {$550.00}. In XX/XX/XXXX I went into the office in XXXX and demanded the insurance be dropped from the loan seeing I had been insured by XXXX XXXX Insurance for 30 years. ( XXXX XXXX made them additionally insured ) The secretary mentioned she would remove the insurance once the loan was paid up to which I did. Several months passed with me making approximately {$3600.00} of the loan. I had contacted Rapid on several occasions showing them my insurance and demanding they remove the front-loaded costs to the loan. Rapid Auto ignored my requests.
In XX/XX/XXXX my XXXXyear-old father was in a car accident and I flew to Rhode Island on an emergency basis leaving my truck at my office. The vehicle was repossessed by Rapid AL stating then stating the balance with all costs was {$5200.00}. I did not have the money and I offered {$2500.00} cash then and {$2700.00}. with-in 60 days, Rapid AL refused the deal and auctioned my vehicle off. Rapid Auto Loan never removed the charges for insurance even thou they knew from day one the vehicle was insured. I believe this is a practice to illegally take vehicles from financially challenged individuals. I believe the practice also violates the statues and would like your agency to render an opinion on their practices. I can no longer obtain any information from this company as my loan was pulled from the internet. I can provide payments from my debit card. The ledger is with Rapid Auto Loan whose have been very discourteous toward complainant.
