ORDER-OA&BRIEF SCHED (AG ADVISORY OPIN) ~ Pursuant to the provisions of article IV, section 10, FloridaConstitution, and section 16.061, Florida Statutes, the AttorneyGeneral of Florida has requested this Court's opinion as to whetherthe text of the proposed amendment "Limited Authorization ofCasino Gaming" complies with article XI, section 3, FloridaConstitution, and whether the proposed ballot title and substancecomply with section 101.161, Florida Statutes.Section 16.061, Florida Statutes, requires the AttorneyGeneral, within thirty days after receipt of the proposed amendmentor revision to the State Constitution by initiative petition, to petitionthis Court for an advisory opinion regarding compliance of the textof the proposed amendment with article XI, section 3, FloridaConstitution, and compliance of the proposed ballot title andsubstance with section 101.161, Florida Statutes.The full text of the Attorney General's letter is attached heretoas an exhibit and made a part thereof.CASE NO.: SC22-25Page TwoIT IS, THEREFORE, the order of the Court that opponentsmust file their briefs on or before January 28, 2022, and serve acopy thereof on the Attorney General. Answer briefs must be filedon or before February 7, 2022. Replies by opponents must be filedby February 14, 2022. Briefs submitted will be available on theCourt's public online docket athttp://onlinedocketssc.flcourts.org/DocketResults/CaseDocket?Searchtype=Case+Number&CaseTypeSelected=All&CaseYear=2022&CaseNumber=25.The Court will subsequently determine whether to conductoral argument.
