Citation text line 29 CFR 1926.502(d)(9): Lanyards and/or vertical lifelines did not have a minimum breaking strength of 5,000 pounds (22.2 kN): On or about 11/09/2016, at the above addressed jobsite, employees were observed using PFAS/vertical lifeline(s), while working in suspended scaffolds, which were tied-off (knotted) to a parapet clamp and/or building column, resulting in the reduction of the lifeline(s) strength by 50 percent or more, (Ref: OSHA Appendix A to Subpart M), therefore exposing the employees to a fall hazard. NOTE: CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF ABATMENET IS REQUIED FRO THIS VIOLATION.
