29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1): All surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of lead: Location: 3685 Fowler Street in Fort Myers (FL) (a) for the trap room as observed on or about 07/16/2015. Accumulation of dust from gun range operations was found on walls and floors due to multiple leaks throughout the ventilation system such as bullet holes on ductwork and open receiving containers at the bottom of cyclones. (b) for the break room / classroom as observed on or about 08/24/2015. Lead accumulations of 2.4665 micrograms were found on an area of 100 squared centimeters over table 2 using the wipe sampling method. (c) for the break room / classroom as observed on or about 08/24/2015. Lead accumulations of 1.5701 micrograms were found on an area of 100 squared centimeters over table 4 using the wipe sampling method. |

29 CFR 1910.1025(d)(2): An initial determination was not made to determine if any employee may be exposed to lead at or above the action level: a) For the gun range and trap room located at 3685 Fowler Street in Fort Myers (FL), as observed on or about 08/24/2015 during tasks such as, but not limited to, cleaning floors, changing filters for ventilation systems serving the gun range, changing buckets of particulate collected by ventilation system's cyclones, and taking contaminated trash out. An employee was exposed to 11.9 micrograms of lead per cubic meter of air during a 265 minute time period. This is equivalent to an 8-hour time weighted average exposure of 6.6 micrograms of lead per cubic meter of air, which represent 20 percent of the OSHA Action Level of 30 micrograms of lead per cubic meter of air. |
