On or about May 15, 2013, at the preparation room, employees were potentially exposed to flammable and corrosive chemicals such as, but not limited to, Dry Hair Cleaner, Cavicel, Hy-Vis, Nature-Glo, Jaundibalm, DMQ Damp Mop Neutral Disinfectant Cleaner, and Embalming Aerosol Spray which were capable of causing severe irritation and/or burns to the eye and skin. On or about May 15, 2013, at the preparation room, employees were potentially exposed to flammable and corrosive chemicals such as, but not limited to, Dry Hair Cleaner, Cavicel, Hy-vis, Nature-glo, Jaundibalm, DMQ Damp Mop Neutral Disinfectant Cleaner, and Embalming Aerosol Spray. 29 CFR 1910.1048(d)(1)(i): Employees of a workplace covered by this standard were not monitored to determine their exposure to formaldehyde: a. On or about May 15, 2013, an employee was exposed to formaldehyde at a Time Weighted Average (TWA) of 0.28 parts per millions (PPM), below the limit of 0.75 PPM, while embalming. The sampling was performed for 175 minutes during one shift on August 26, 2013. The employer did not conducted an initial monitoring to determine employees exposure to formaldehyde. |
