The employer fails to assure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on January 14, 2019, when employees of Bold City Roofing & Restoration, the sub contractor on site, under the control of Roberson Roofing, Inc, are working on the one story 5:12 pitch, detached garage of the residence without fall protection and are exposed to falls of approximately 10 feet to the ground below. Roberson Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1109902, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/20/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 943 Daytona Ave, Holly Hill, FL 32174, and was assessed a penalty of $4620.00.
