Complaint What Happened 1. Payroll Error : On XX/XX/year>, I was mistakenly credited {$42000.00} into my account. By XX/XX/XXXX, the bank reversed this deposit without warning, leaving my account overdrawn by {$10000.00}. They subsequently re-deposited the funds, bringing my balance to {$32000.00}. 2. Bank Mishandling : On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a call from the bank informing me that they planned to move the funds out of my account. I requested that they do so, as I am in significant debt and had already struggled with overdrafts for several months. However, the bank failed to act on this request and did not inform me when the funds were not moved. 3. Access Denial & Investigation : On XX/XX/XXXX, I attempted to get a cashier 's check to return the funds. The teller, citing her inexperience, referred me to a manager who was dismissive and insisted on an investigation for potential fraud. I was unable to access my account online for monitoring during this investigation. 4. Ongoing Issues : On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a check for {$18000.00}, which was far less than the total amount owed, and was told to pay the difference. My online access remained disabled, and I was unaware of the exact status of my account. Finally, on XX/XX/XXXX, I called to have my online access restored, only to find my account was once again overdrawn. Throughout this process, my overdraft protection had been disabled, despite my repeated instructions to not allow funds to be withdrawn. I received another letter stating my account is being closed and as of today it is disabled with a negative balance I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and concern regarding the handling of my checking account by the local SEACOAST branch located in XXXX, Florida. As a loyal customer for almost a decade, I am shocked and dismayed by the lack of support and professionalism exhibited by the branch staff, resulting in significant financial distress for me. The mishandling of my account during a delicate situation has led to tens of thousands of dollars worth of damages, leaving my account with a negative balance of {$600.00} to {$800.00}. my adherence to the bank 's policies and procedures, I have been unfairly treated and made to feel like a criminal, which is completely unacceptable. Moreover, the closure of my account without prior notice and the accumulation of exorbitant fees totaling thousands of dollars this year have exacerbated my financial woes. A payroll discrepancy further compounding matters, I now find myself owing {$23000.00} to my employer following a fraud investigation that hindered my account access and monitoring abilities. Throughout this challenging period, the lack of timely resolution and communication from the SEACOAST branch has had devastating consequences, with the available balance of my account plummeting by over {$10000.00} due to the oversight of granting me account access post the investigation. As a conscientious customer who has faithfully entrusted SEACOAST with my financial well-being, I am truly disheartened by the gross negligence and incompetence displayed by the local branch. I still do not understand why my boss was informed about me being able to withdraw from my account before I heard anything the bank keep me completely in the dark and I still do not understand how locking me out of my account but still allowing transactions helps with a fraud investigation makes absolutely XXXX sense if anyone could explain these last two things to me would be amazing because it leaves me completely stubbed and at a loss of words

Complaint What Happened On XX/XX/XXXX, I went to my local Seacoast National Bank ATM in XXXX, Fl. The ATM I used was located outside the bank. I made a initial deposit of {$220.00} into my checking account around XXXX XXXX. I proceeded to make a second separate transaction deposit of {$340.00} to my checking account. For some reason the ATM cancelled my transaction and failed to give me the {$340.00} back or even give me a receipt. I waited to see if the money would be returned and nothing happened. I checked my bank account and the money was not deposited successfully meaning the money was stuck in the ATM. I proceeded to file a report with the bank and they added the {$340.00} to my account on XX/XX/XXXX. They proceeded to investigate the incident and claimed their was no reason Seacoast National Bank was responsible. This included the bank deducting {$340.00} from my account again. I am very upset this happened and no one seems to look further into the issue. I have contacted their customer service and nothing is being done to investigate further. My money could not have just disappeared in the ATM. I remember clearly what bills I added into the ATM and have a text message of {$0.00} being deposited into my account at XXXX. I also tried making a third deposit to the ATM to see if something else would happen and the deposit button was no longer available meaning the ATM was not allowing any more deposits to be made. I have had this happen to me already at this same ATM.

Complaint What Happened I had a medical issue which incapacitated me for 4 months. During that time, I let my account get overdrawn a couple of times because of auto bills, as I wasn't able to catch them in time in the state I was in. The first overdrafts were paid off, but I was unable to pay the second at the time. The bank ( XXXX XXXX ) had been working with me, but I suddenly received a notice in the mail that I had 1 day to pay off the balance or the account would close, and was unable to in that time. It took me a bit to get re-employed after the medical issue, and I was attempting to open a new account to deposit my paychecks, when I was denied by XXXX separate banks from opening an account. The XXXX said I would be notified within 10 days why I was denied, but I have not received anything from them. A bank XXXX at the second told me that he was not allowed to open an account because there was a problem with XXXX, though he wasn't allowed to even look at any details of the issue. I created an account with XXXX, but the report that I requested wasn't able to be delivered electronically, and said they would send out a paper copy in XXXX business days. I had to do some digging to find the initial problem at XXXX XXXX, as I had not received any information from them after the account closure that my account would be sent to XXXX, and I had never received anything from XXXX until trying to open the new bank account. I was planning on paying the overdraft debt ( with money from my paycheck which now could not be deposited at almost any bank or credit union ), but upon doing research found that I could still be denied a new account at most banks for 5 years even if it was paid off.

I proceeded to call the number on the XXXX XXXX spoke to a XXXX representative he took control of my computer to check who was trying to hack my computer. It showed that a child XXXX site and other XXXX material as well was on my computer. So, I proceeded to call the toll-free number on the website. I called the bank number and told the bank representative to place my account on high alert. The bank representative told me that a XXXX XXXX dollars has been wired to XXXX at XXXX in the morning. He also told me that these hackers have my social security number as well. He proceeded to tell that my money in the bank should be placed encrypted I had to go to the bank and wire XXXX XXXX dollars to another bank address not to talk about it in the bank due to investigation so he gave me the address of another bank as to where to wire the money in the meantime he told me to take a picture of my driver 's license and text it to him to create an account to XXXX. Complaint What Happened The existence of a derogatory rating on my account is causing me significant concern. I am deeply worried about its potential impact on my credit. It has already resulted in the denial of a recent loan application and an increase in the interest rates on my existing credit accounts. I want to emphasize the severe financial and emotional distress that this negative rating has caused me and will continue to cause until it is resolved.

Complaint What Happened We closed on a new construction home in XX/XX/XXXX and our home loan was sold to Seacoast bank in XX/XX/XXXX. Our monthly payments through the end of XXXX included an escrow of ~ {$830.00} for projected property tax and insurance payments for a total monthly mortgage payment of ~ {$3100.00}. In XX/XX/XXXX, they refunded some of the escrow to us and reduced the monthly escrow to ~ {$430.00} claiming that was the more accurate projected amount for XXXX, reducing our overall mortgage payment to ~ {$2600.00}. In XX/XX/XXXX, they sent an escrow disclosure document to us for XXXX stating that they had undercollected the escrow by ~ {$8000.00} in XXXX, and as a result of the shortage, our total monthly mortgage payment will be ~ {$4100.00} for XXXX to make up for their error. About {$900.00} of the shortage was due to a large insurance increase which I understand occurred statewide this year and was not necessarily able to be accurately projected or anticipated ; but the remaining ~ {$7000.00} seems it was due to them projecting a property tax cost that was on par with prior years for our lot- when it was unimproved land with no house built on it. Obviously, the addition of a home onto the land in XX/XX/XXXX substantially increased the property taxes, and this should have been EASILY foreseen and projected into their calculations for the XXXX escrow they were collecting for the property taxes to be paid in XX/XX/XXXX. Because the taxes are escrowed to be paid by the bank, we assumed the bank knew what they were doing with their math and projections, and so this red flag was overlooked by us, but it should have never been overlooked by the bank, who is responsible for collecting these payments. We now have to find ~ $ XXXX extra for all of XXXX to make up for this egregious oversight they made so they can recoup the shortage they caused. If we were able to just have paid the taxes directly and not had to escrow them, we would have spent time better researching and projecting for the increased tax cost and accurately projecting the taxes we would be owing, and not underprojecting them by over {$7000.00} due to a bank error of assuming property taxes on unimproved land would be the same the subsequent year when a house was put onto the land, and not putting ourselves in a hole like this for the entire next year. Had they projected correctly, our ~ {$3100.00} payment we had in XXXX would have stood for the year of XXXX, which we would have been able to manage- instead of a {$2600.00} payment in XXXX and jumping to {$4100.00} in XXXX. The error and large unexpected payment increase they are demanding due to the shortage they caused is ridiculous.

Our home was finished and we moved in XX/XX/XXXX. Seacoast bank has yet, after multiple emails and attempts, moved our construction loan into a permanent residential mortgage. Because of this, our payment continues to go up due to loan maturity and penalties that are not our fault. 3 months have passed and Seacoast bank still does nothing.

Complaint What Happened The Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 15 U.S. Code 1681 ) says ( 1 ) The banking system is dependent upon fair and accurate credit reporting. Inaccurate credit reports directly impair the efficiency of the banking system, and unfair credit reporting methods undermine the public confidence which is essential to the continued functioning of the banking system. So whenever there is a violation under the FCRA, it impairs the efficiency of the banking system. This is a violation of TILA US Code 1666B since I was never late. I recently reviewed my consumer report and noticed an incorrect late payment record on my XXXX # XXXX. I have always maintained timely payments on this account. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act ( XXXX ) and the Truth in Lending Act ( TILA ), creditors are required to accurately report consumer transactions and provide a mechanism for correcting errors in a timely manner. Please conduct an investigation into this matter, and if you can not provide documentary evidence of these supposed late payments, I demand these payments to be updated to on time as they should be as I was NEVER late. I expect these updates to be made promptly, in compliance with the law.
