I have a long history of dealing with Williams & Fudge.
They have impersonated police officers & lawyers, and threatened me with arrest.
As such I have sent them letters - plural - instructing them not to contact me by phone, and filed prior complaints with the FTC regarding these practices.
Tonight at XXXX I received a call from their office in XXXX XXXX, South Carolina, phone number XXXX.
When I pointed all of these facts out to their representative XXXX XXXX, she responded that they had never communicated with me before, and then hung up when I asked to speak to her supervisor.

Around 2016 I attended XXXX XXXX college, during one of my semesters I was in a bad XXXX XXXX and I was not able to complete my classes. I emailed asking to withdraw and spoke about my situation, at the time I asked them if anything would be owed and I was told no. The next semester I enrolled in courses and practically at the end of my semester I was told that if I didnt pay for the previous semester ( the same one they told me I didnt owe for ) I wouldnt be able to continue the current one. That led to me being withdrawn from my classes again and owing for both semesters. I earned a grant which expires soon to pay some of what was owed, they would not accept it. Theyre withholding my transcripts and have sent it to collections though I have tried getting assistance multiple times. It has been years and I still can not attend school. This is unfair as I cant afford to pay {$5000.00} for access to my transcripts.

I told them I had an emergency and had move out of state and to withdraw me from any classes going into XXXX. This company has profusely tried to call me and harass me to pay a debt that I am not responsible for. The age of the debt is past the statute of limitations in the state of Florida and has been resold and taken off my credit numerous times. Not only that, but they have called my job several times in the past, have called my husband harassing him about this debt while they have my phone number. Today on the phone, I was scolded by a debt collector after I informed her I was in a meeting and couldnt deal with another harassing call from this company. She refused to take my answer and kept pushing for a forced payment for this debt that Im not responsible for.

I checked my XXXX credit report and noticed my score significantly low. I checked the collections and noticed an account from XXXX and XXXX, a company I have never heard of. They are reporting a debt from XXXX, but i have never received any notice of this debt prior to reporting. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I was supposed to be contacted via postal mail. I have been at the same address and have never received any correspondence from this company about any debt nor did I receive any information on how to dispute said collection account or any options to take care of the debt, if its a valid debt, prior to reporting to XXXX.

In XXXX I was contacted by a representative from XXXX University about returning to school. This was in response to the fact that I was posting my resume on job search sites. I have a varied education ; First year in college, I was XXXX, XXXX year different University, XXXX, then 2 years at different university studying XXXX. A few years later I completed 2 years at XXXX XXXX XXXX, 2 years in XXXX training, and accrued many licenses and certificates. The XXXX University rep tells me they can take all this and my 35 years of XXXX experience into a XXXX or XXXX XXXX. That would look good on a resume.I am XXXX XXXX XXXX at this time, and do not want to spend years in school at this point, but credit for all this plus life experience? He has me apply for admission. This was a common practice when I graduated XXXX XXXX, I applied to several schools and saw who accepted me and chose from those that did. So I applied and was accepted! Pleasant surprise. He said they would have to check on how many credits I would get. I was less inclined to get involved in any education other than employer on the job type, but this guy is calling me daily. XXXX day, again I am telling him know, he says " Let me walk you into a classroom and you can see how it is '' I never do chat rooms or that sort, but he has me log into this conversation. It is about people saying what they want to get from college and what their goals are. He has me wish XXXX or XXXX people good luck and then we left the " Classroom ''. The following week the pressure continues I was losing patience and telling the guy to stop calling which he eventually did after a few more attempts. Meanwhile, I had researched XXXX University on the Internet and found many disparaging comments and negative experiences. This was definitely not for me. I considered the case closed. Fast forward to XXXX. I get some calls offering to renegotiate my student debt. I tell them I do n't have any. I also get calls for credit card debt, life insurance and other stuff on my cell phone. XXXX of my calls are from some company or another going to solve my financial difficulties. I have very good credit. Then I begin getting calls from Williams and Fudge, XXXX XXXX, SC that I owe a debt. I ask what for, they reply XXXX University! What? I told them I do not owe XXXX University, never got a loan, books, credits or started school. After they call me a few more times, I request documentation. They sent me a statement for {$4400.00} in tuition, {$140.00} in books. The {$140.00} was later taken off. In XXXX, XXXX they adjusted tuition to {$1100.00}, and in XXXX XXXX they wrote it off as a bad debt. I am unaware of any of this activity, never received a bill or approved this. I suppose XXXX sold their bad debts to this collection agency which is trying to collect whatever they can. This however is not a bad debt, it is an unjustified debt resulting from aggressive salespeople ( whatever happened to guidance counselors? ) who enroll students in classes and incur charges that the student did not authorize, for services that were not received. My concern is that the collection agency, Williams & Fudge, will damage my credit, report this as an unpaid debt, as they continue to call me. I see that in the meantime, XXXX University and their parent company have basically been shut down for fraud. I feel this is part of that fraud and nuisance efforts to collect this debt shall cease and desist, and no derogatory comments be posted to any of my credit reports. I suppose there are many accounts that XXXX turned over to Williams and Fudge. XXXX never provided any documents, and I never signed anything. In the documentation, it states electronic signature and classes selected, choices made that were news to me. No transcripts were ever requested. Thank-You

I was initially contacted by representatives from Williams & Fudge in early 2019 who attempted to collect a debt that I did not owe. Despite not providing appropriate and authentic debt verification when requested as well as ignoring numerous documentation and attachments I provided that indicated the debt they were attempting to collect was not mine, they persistently harassed me and continuously contacted me trying to collect it with no evidence. After repeatedly telling there representatives to stop contacting me since there was no active proof that this debt was authentically mine, I was pushed to the point of seeking legal action for the continuous harassment. Once I had mentioned the legal threats, they finally seemed to understand that this debt isn't mine and stopped contacting me about it. For whatever reason, they recently seemed to try to send an email which appeared as spam in which they said that if they don't hear from me, they will assume the debt is mine. This is absurd and obviously a malicious tactic as I already indicated dozens of times previously that the debt they are attempting to collect is not mine.
