Complaint What Happened My attorney yet again recommended me to do this. I have been dealing with this company since XXXX XXXX. XXXX which was a dispute for an XXXX XXXX transaction on XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$380.00} that was taken from my card. So I contacted Albert via text and they said Hi, we reviewed the transaction issue you reported. The transaction was authorized at the time it was initiated, so it is not eligible for credit from Albert. Please work directly with the merchant to resolve the issue. Let us know if you have any further questions. So after that I told them they cant limit the disputes. I requested for their legal team information but they refused. So days later I file a XXXX complaint against Albert and submitted a screenshot of the response I got from XXXX which XXXX said Based on the details you provided we recommended you to contact your financial institution and initiate a chargeback. We can not do anything once funds are taken from your card. Even if it is Unauthorized or the funds do not properly transfer. We are sorry we couldnt be more of assistance to you. Yet still after that Albert even refused through XXXX. So now were up to this point t where Im filing this complaint in hopes to have Albert reimburse these funds that were removed. There are many banking regulations they must follow and if after this complaint they dont give me a right to file my dispute and end up having my dispute to be rejected in a sense of time frame then they should know this complaint and as well the XXXX complaint and all correspondence I had with them will be used in court when I give my attorney they green light to proceed further with litigation which not only will Albert have to give back my funds but they will be paying me back court fees, attorney fees and as well any damages that me occur even if that is on a financial level.

Complaint What Happened The Albert app charges customers subscriptions to use their product but they make it impossible to cancel. Ive been paying for about 2 years despite numerous attempts to cancel. They have been holding me hostage ( as well as many other customers ; XXXX Albert reviews ). Finally, in XXXX this year I was able to XXXX my account out with them sending me a check in the mail. I thought this nightmare was FINALLY over, but no. Fast forward to XXXX this year they reopened my account and put a negative balance of $ XXXX. I have tried reaching them and they refuse to be helpful and tell me to pay it off if I want my subscription to stop ( unknowingly to me they restarted my subscription without my consent ). This is really my last course of action. Me and hundreds of other customers need someone to step in and stop them from holding us hostage.

Complaint What Happened I do mobile banking with Albert and all of my funds come from this bank account. I am filling out a government application with the United States Citizen and Immigration Services, where a certified bank statement is required. This document simply includes the amount of money deposited into the account in the past year, the date the account was opened, and the current balance of the account, and for it to be signed by an officer of the bank. All of this information is accessible to them. I have contacted Albert through the only way possible, which is their feature where you text them. After discussing the required document with them, they refused to provide this document and will only give me access to my regular monthly statements which is not accepted by the government agency. I explained the need and urgency for the document and how it affects humanitarian aid within my family. Albert will not provide a reason for being unable to provide the document.

Complaint What Happened Albert banking sent me a text alert on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX stating they were mailing me a new debit card when i didnt ask for XXXX. A representative locked my account for " security reasons '' when i already verified myself. I have not been helped in anyway. I just keep being told that my situation has been escalated. The representatives have been ignoring my text messages and emails. Its currently XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with no resolution and no access to my online accout or money. On XXXX XXXX XXXX I provided XXXX forms of id 's & photo of myself to the albert agents. They have not tried to resolve my issue in a timely manner. I am waiting access to the remaining money in my account and i want to close the albert bank account. I have never had an issue until XXXX XXXX. To be ignored and to have gone XXXX plus hours without access to my money is unacceptable. I still have not received any feedback as to when i will be able to access my account. Albert banking does not value their customers and need a phone line where customers can communicate with a real person via phone.

Complaint What Happened I am in a vicious cycle with the instant cash option with Albert. Right now- it is just {$75.00} but I live dollar to dollar. Anyways, in order to get my {$75.00} this time around ( which is less than the {$100.00} I just had withdrawn from the last round ), they forced me to sign up for some weird process that I clicked accept for. It did not seem to be a big deal till I just got an email telling me that I am now enrolled into an automatic savings account. This account will now apparently automatically take money from my checking account each day and help me save - I do not even have any money in my own personal savings account because I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX who can barely make ends meet. Complaint What Happened I am writing to file a formal complaint against the Albert app regarding their financial services, which have caused me immense distress and financial hardship. I kindly request the CFPD to conduct an urgent investigation into this matter and take immediate action to protect consumers like myself. Over the past few weeks, I have experienced a series of issues with the Albert app that have severely impacted my financial well-being. Initially, the app itself provided me with information stating that I was eligible for an advance in the amount of {$60.00}. Relying on this information, I carefully budgeted and made plans for this advance. However, when I attempted to request the advance, the app suddenly informed me that they needed to verify my pay before granting it. This was highly perplexing and frustrating since the app had already indicated my eligibility and provided the dollar amount. When I questioned their customer service regarding these discrepancies, I was informed that the information displayed in the app was outdated, and that the verification of my pay would take a couple of days, despite my direct deposit having already been processed through their company the day prior. More recently, I discovered fraudulent charges on my account on XX/XX/2023 in the amount of {$99.00}, as well as duplicate debits from XXXX creditor on the same day in the same amount. I have made several attempts to resolve these issuea with their customer support over the last 48 hours. I have been met with delays, unhelpful responses, and a lack of transparency. They informed me that it would take several days to investigate these matters and potentially return the funds, causing further financial stress and uncertainty. I reached out to the company who the Fraudulent charge was from, XXXX XXXX, and they apologized and offered a refund, however upon further review they were unable to provide it to me as they had not yet received payment from Albert. I began investigating further and found that in addition to XXXX XXXX, whose charge was not accurate, several of my creditors have not received payments that were deducted from my account by Albert. This includes duplicate debits from one of my creditors on the same day in the same amount and I was informed that I would need to wait to be able to file any kind of claim to have this corrected. When I questioned Alberts customer service team they were unable to tell me where my funds are. As of this complaint I still do not know where the funds for the payments are as I nor the payee have them and albert just gives me a runaround. It appears that my money has gone missing within their system, leading to financial difficulties and the inability to fulfill my obligations. Throughout this ordeal, the Albert app has demonstrated incompetence, poor customer service, and a disregard for resolving issues promptly. Their flawed verification process, mishandling of funds, and failure to communicate transparently have left me in a vulnerable position. I implore the CFPD to intervene urgently and thoroughly investigate the practices of the Albert app. It is crucial to hold them accountable for their mismanagement of funds, failure to provide satisfactory resolutions, and potential violations of consumer protection regulations. I kindly request that you take swift action to protect consumers ' interests, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide a resolution for the grievances experienced by myself and potentially others. Complaint What Happened On Sunday XX/XX/XXXX I reached out to Albert to dispute multiple transactions from an overseas gambling website. These transactions were spread amongst multiple accounts and I found I was victim of SIM copying and someone had access to my XXXX XXXX. Albert denied the dispute, later the merchant attempted refunds to the old card that Albert denied. Albert again refused my dispute even though the merchant attempted to refund. Albert has been negligent in handling the matter, responding to me for help, and doing their job to accept the refunds for return of funds. The other two accounts compromised accepted the funds returned with no issues even though both accounts had new cards issued. This bank claims no liability on any issues and has 0 respect for their clients.

Complaint What Happened On XX/XX/XXXX I reached out to Albert to dispute charges from a company XXXX. I also reached out to the company to notify them of fraudulent charges. Albert denied my dispute. The company did an internal investigation and did find fraud in the card use and attempted to refund the card on XX/XX/XXXX. Albert denied the refunds. I then sent 2 pieces of evidence to Albert to reopen the dispute. These disputes were again denied and Albert asked I reach out to the merchant to refund a new card. The company sent me an email stating they could not refund a card not affiliated with an account and because I did not have an account the bank would need to take the proper procedures to help refund my money. Albert again denied this claim. On XX/XX/XXXX an email was forwarded to Albert from XXXX asking Albert to attempt chargebacks or dispute accordingly. The email went ignored by Albert. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent the exact same email via text to Albert and at this point Albert acknowledged and have claimed to attempt chargebacks. As of XX/XX/XXXX Albert will not credit my account and according to Pulsz Albert has not attempted any chargebacks. Albert has consistently shown negligence, is EXTREMELY slow to respond, does not give evidence to support their claims, and is in violation of multiple FDIC guidelines. I am asking my funds be returned to me right away and Albert be held accountable for their business practices.

Complaint What Happened I was conned into opening a secondary account with this provider and was forced to hook my main account to it. In XX/XX/year>, this provider tapped into my main account and wiped my account out under the guise that it would be placed into the secondary account for my use. It is now XX/XX/XXXX and the money is not in my secondary account nor has it been returned to my main account. I confronted the provider and was met with lies and excuses why my money has been effectively stolen. I informed them that they had one hour to either credit my secondary account or return my money or I would be filing a complaint with CFPB for fraud because they have stolen my money. I was then ignored. I want my money either credited or returned immediately. If I do not get my money back I will pursue legal action against them for fraud!

Complaint What Happened I opened a " free '' " no fee '' account with Albert that claimed to provide a no cost " advance '' between $ XXXX {$250.00}. I took a small loan of {$30.00}, for which I was charged a fee to have money sent to me ( {$2.00} ). At NO POINT was I told that to open this account Albert would sign me up for " genius, '' a subscription for " money saving features '' that is automatically added to ALL accounts without consent for XXXX XXXX yearly if you have enough funds for them to withdraw from your checking account, otherwise they charge $ XXXX until you are successful in getting them to cancel the service, which requires a FULL payoff of any loans and removal of any funds from the " service ''. Albert charged me {$140.00} on XX/XX/2024, which was marked as FRAUD by my bank. I disputed the charge and on XX/XX/2024 Albert then charged me an additional {$36.00} with no notice, or explanation. I spoke to multiple " account specialists '' who just told me that EVERYONE has the " genius service '' and that while it is " confusing '' to customers that they are automatically signed up for this $ XXXXmonthly service ( {$140.00} annual ) that they have a fine print disclosure on the website so it is totally legal and valid. I asked for the account to be CLOSED and no further charges against my account to be processed, as they have now taken {$180.00} from my account for a {$30.00} " advance ''. Albert refuses to assist with any real solution beyond telling me to wait a week or more for them to " Settle '' a " deposit '' that THEY initiated without my consent.

Complaint What Happened I used Alberts cash advance service for {$150.00} expecting repayment to be taken from my next paycheck on XX/XX/year>, as is standard with cash advance apps. However, Albert withdrew my last {$110.00} from my bank account on XX/XX/year>, eight days before my actual paycheck, leaving me with only {$0.00} to last until payday. Albert had my payroll information and knew my next paycheck date, yet they still withdrew the funds early, draining my account completely. I contacted Alberts customer support immediately, and after multiple transfers and delays, they refused to refund the money to be repaid from my next paycheck on XX/XX/year>, as is standard for cash advances. Their reason was that I could have rescheduled the repayment in their app, but this was not stated within the app. Their practice of scheduling repayments before a users actual payday and helping themselves to every available dollar is predatory and unethical. I am requesting a full refund of the {$110.00} that was withdrawn early. This issue has caused me financial hardship, as I now have no money for essentials until XX/XX/year>.
