Complaint What Happened	I was sent a Collection Notice for a medical debt owed to XXXXXXXX XXXX for approximately {$1300.00}. I have not lived in the state of Arkansas since XXXX. I never went to an Orthopedic when I lived in the state of Arkansas. I reached out to the debt collector to advise I had no knowledge of this debt. I was advised it was for my son, who was a minor at the time of service, therefore they had the right to persue collection. I advised the rep that my son attends college and lives in the state of Arkansas with his father. I live in Florida. I was told I could dispute via email address. Prior to submitting my dispute, I called XXXX XXXX regarding the debt. I spoke with a rep who advised none of my information was on their records and they did not have me down as the responsible party. They advised the responsible party listed on their records was my son 's father, which is whom the debt should be under. They advised that they had spoken with his father several times, however he had not made payment. They advised my son 's father had brought my son to this office for treatment. I had no knowledge of my son 's treatment at this office nor have I ever provided consent for treatment or signed any documentation that I agreed to financial responsibility at this doctor office. I was never contacted by the doctor office regarding the debt at any point. The collection agency had never contacted me prior to XX/XX/XXXX, which is the date on the letter received. This item is now listed on my credit report as a collection item. I was never previously notified/afforded any opportunity to dispute the debt prior to it being reported on my credit.

Complaint What Happened	I have received a letter from this company named Mid-South Adjustment, co. This is now the third time they have sent me a letter stating they are collecting a debt I owe Veterans Affairs. I don't know how Iam being contacted? I pay the VA every month. For about a year they were sending a check to me stating I had overpaid about 2 years ago when the pandemic started.
