Complaint What Happened	As of XX/XX/year>, my student loan was transferred from Nelnet to XXXX. It was then put into forbearance until XXXX and my monthly payment increased 30 %. This occurred without my agreement and is an Unfair Act or Practice as defined by the CFPB. The bait-and-switch tactic of putting me into forbearance during the holiday, only to increase my payment 30 % once they are over, fits the CFPB 's definition of a Deceptive Act or Practice. Engaging in this practice while consumers are already struggling with the devastating affects of record high inflation fit the description of an Abusive Act or Practice. The fact this is all being conducted by an organization backed by the federal government is extremely disappointing. This could be grounds for a massive class action lawsuit.
