29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels are not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor are employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph (b) of this section: a. Employees performing roofing work on a roof six feet or more above the ground are not protected for fall hazards by a fall protection system. The employer fails to assure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on May 12, 2014, when employees were working on a residential roof at 355 Silent Brook Trail, Jacksonville Florida 32225 without fall protection and were exposed to falls of approximately 6 feet.
