Prosper said that one use there pre- approval form to see if they will be approved for a loan or not before they apply for a loan. I did the application online and was pre-approved {$28000.00}. To make sure that this was correct I called in and spoke with an agent and re do the application over the phone. She once again told me that I was pre- approved for {$28000.00}. I even got an email from the agent stating that the funds would be deposited in my account within 1 to 4 days. I then checked my email and I saw an email from prosper stating that they were no longer going to give me the loan because they were unable to verify me. This sounds like rubbish to me. They pre- approved and then sent me a letter stating that they were not able to verify me so they cant give me the loan. I proceed with the hard pull on my credit report based on the fact that Proper 's agent said that the I was pre- approved for the loan. There is now a hard inquiry on my XXXX credit report from Prosper and I want it removed immediately as Prosper lied to me that I was approved for the loan and then cancel the loan application after the agent t said every thing was good.
I never would have proceed with the loan application if the prosper agent never said that I was pre- approved for the loan. Kindly remove prosper hard inquiry from my credit report immediately.

I applied online for a personal loan for individuals with low credit scoresXXXX XX/XX/XXXX I received a call ( from phone number XXXX ) supposedly a loan company name " Prosper Loan XXXX. '' The man ( XXXX XXXX ) on the phone stated I was approved {$5000.00}. Mind you he had a thick XXXX accent, even with his name. He verified my personal information, so I'll take it that he retrieved my information through my personal loan application. He requested my checking account information too deposit the funds, after I acknowledged the contract information he sent to me via email. He also requested my debit card number to deposit funds into my account, which I was going to return back. This was just to validate my account, and to make sure my name is on the account, and that I am who I stated I am.
He notified me that {$1100.00} into my checking account. When I checked my account, the funds was indeed in my account. He gave instructions to withdraw the funds and to buy 3 money card from XXXX and give him the card numbers, which I did. Only to wake up on XX/XX/XXXX to see all these reversed transactions in my chase checking account for the total amount of the funds XXXX XXXX claimed was money from his loan company. I called XXXX XXXX the next day to request my funds back, and that the {$5000.00} loan is not in my account. XXXX XXXX went on to say that the state counselor is requesting taxes because his loan company is in XXXX, and I live in XXXX I told him that XXXX don't have state taxes. He stated that is the law for obtain the loan. He again stated he is going to deposit the tax money, and I need to return it to him via cash app or XXXX money card. He did the same thing by accessing my checking account and reversing paid transactions totaling {$1900.00} from months ago. Payments made to my XXXX XXXXXXXX refused to send him the funds, which made him really upset once he realized that I was on to his scam. I have all the documentation and communication between this company and I. I also has a voicemail from " supposedly his boss who called and threatened me once XXXX XXXX informed him that I am not sending the money back, which they reversed my charges in my account.
The emailed he used is XXXX. XXXX XXXX is another person who called from the company. XXXX who called and threaten me to blacklist my passport

Prosper Marketplace IncXXXX, on the first date of use ( XXXX ) was arbitrarily restricted without notice or communication. Customer Service advised via phone that card was restricted for suspected fraud but could not provide details on which specific transactions. The terms of my use can not be honored and I found the company 's business practices to be both unreliable and unethical. I made the decision on XXXX to transfer the balance and close the account. Once again I contacted customer service and was advised that the company would not support the balance transfer which I never heard and was never provided documentation for. I have never heard of a company that I could not transfer a balance from and wish to never conduct business with one of this caliber again. I was not allowed to speak with a supervisor and have yet to receive any communication regarding this card restriction.

I XXXX XXXX entered into a consumer credit transaction with XXXX/PROSPER on XX/XX/2021. A consumer credit transaction in which a finance charge was involved. 15 use 1605 defines a finance charge as the sum of all charges in a consumer credit Transaction. The Finance charge does not include cash, but XXXX PROSPER Point took cash and monthly cash payment which is equivalent to a comparable cash transaction.
Congress stated if I go and get a " loan '' and there is a finance charge involved, because I used my credit card, which is defined my social according to 15 USC 1602 ( i ) ; to do a consumer credit transaction, I'm not suppose to owe anything more than whatever the finance charge is. Whatever the finance charge is in connection to a consumer credit transaction should be the sum of all charges. There should be XXXX cash included. The charges should all be together, according to Congress. It is inseparable to the extension of credit.
15 usc 1605 also states that the finance charge does not include charges of ANY type payable in comparable cash transaction. Being that monthly payments are being made/or have been made that is in fact a comparable cash transaction.
Examples of charges which are included in a finance charge include any of the following types of charges which are applicable : ( 1 ) Interest, time price differential, and any amount payable under a point, discount or other system or additional charges. The 32.99 % interest listed in Exhibit A and Exhibit B is in fact false and misleading because It is suppose to be included in the finance charge.
XXXX PROSPER also failed to provide or conspicuously disclose, my right to rescind. Which is in fact is a violation of subchapter 15 use 1635 ( a ) - Right of Recission as to certain transactions.

I Have a loan with Prosper, I had financial problems due to COVI19 and because of this it became impossible for me to pay the monthly payments contracted with PROSPER. I tried to recover as soon as possible, and I was always in contact with PROSPER negotiating agreements to pay off the debt. They offered me that if I showed that I had been affected by COVI 19 they could give me some flexibilities for payment. I sent them the corresponding documents and they agreed to accept me as AFFECTED. They were going to deferral those months and they were also going to add a note saying : Affected by Natural or Declared Disaster. This does not negatively impact your FICO credit score. They did that the first few months and then withdrew the note and my credit drops affecting me the possibility of being able to access some services such as buying a car or even getting a rent or a home. I have attached evidence of the emails with them where they agree to put the remark. After time and after several calls and complaints now tell me that they removed the remark and will not put it back. ( I have attached the Emails )

I initially called in XXXX last year to report charges as fraud through prosper credit card. My credit card was physically stolen and used. Since then, I received a brand new credit card number and got no response afterwards. I then called a few more times over the next few months to follow up. There has been nobody calling me about this. The charges that are fraud are from XX/XX/XXXX. There are 12 transactions total. 1 was declined.
This is what I see on the app : Everything on XX/XX/year> XXXX XXXX ( denied ) XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Total of XXXX I have called numerous times and in XXXX was told no fraud claim has been filed. Since then, Ive contacted them 5+ times with no updates. I just contacted them again today and the representative supposedly filed a claim. They say that there is no claim number or anything. I even sent emails. Ive contacted the bank that sponsors prosper card services and the lady tried to help me get them to contact me. Still nothing.
I was told through a recent email that back in XXXX, I never reported the charges as fraud which is either a lie, or their mistake. I 100 % reported these charges as fraudulent and I think the representative made a mistake. Either way, I contacted prosper and made sure to let them know about the fraudulent charges. As far as I know, the representative may or may not have filed a claim but I have no idea. They cant give me any information and it is very frustrating.

I received an XXXX loan from prosper marketplaces. I paid it off in the month of XXXX 2016. In XXXX of 2016 I receive a late payment notice on my credit report. This complaint is on behalf of my partner -- - as he does n't speak English. On XXXX XXXX 2017, my boyfriend applied for a loan with Prosper to pay off his debts. On Friday, XX/XX/XXXX , my boyfriend and I contacted Prosper as he had additional questions. To my disbelief, the Prosper Rep stated that they have no Bilingual ( XXXX ) customer service individuals, i then stated that I would be able to translate since my boyfriend was next to me, but they were not able to assist due to confidentiality which is understandable but my boyfriend approved for them to speak to me, however, they were not able to answer our questions.
On Monday, XX/XX/XXXX he received a call from Prosper and he was able to answer those questions he did n't have trouble with understanding, but my boyfriend mentioned to me that he had difficulty understanding. I called on his behalf and I asked again if they had a Bilingual ( XXXX ) and again, the rep stated they had no one. My boyfriend received an email from Prosper to login to their page to view the status of the loan, but we were unable to because the account was closed.
In conclusion ; as of now, we still do n't know why the loan was denied and it has been impossible to find out.
My boyfriend feels discriminated against, as we found it difficult to get assistance for a XXXX Speaking Consumer. We needed to get answers, therefore, it 's unprofessional and unethical not to receive proper information especially when applying for a loan.
I also believe that the company is either refusing to have any of their associates speak XXXX or they do not hire Bilinguals/ XXXX at all. I find this extremely worrisome and improper.

I wanted to look at the rates for a personal loan. Upon reviewing the terms everywhere it had listed a No impact to credit and soft credit inquiry. Once I reviewed the offer and the TIl, I was expecting a hard inquiry disclosure to be visible and clearly identified as Thai wouldve been the final step. However it was hidden within numerous bullet points. It is very predatory and deceptive. They made sure to highlight everywhere that its a soft inquiry and yet when it a hard inquiry that is hidden and not shown with any disclosure. I asked the company to cancel my loan as I did not agree to the loan terms or viewed the loan agreement. It was not visible to me at all.

We are doing a Home Loan for our Borrower and it required a conference call with XXXX and the creditor to confirm that the Borrower had paid off his Account with Prosper. Borrower speaks zero English other than to be able to say his name, date of birth and last 4 of his social. Both myself and the Agent from XXXX were on the line to assist with translation as needed. We requested someone at Prosper that spoke XXXX and the proceeded to advise us that they only speak English there and no XXXX agents or any other language. Propser Agent advised that they would not allow having a translator on the line even though Borrower DID answer the validation questions they asked which were his name, date of birth and last 4 of social. I requested a Supervisor and explained the situation and Supervisor stated that Borrower should not be applying for a home loan with us if he does not speak English. Prosper refused to complete our request or provide confirmation that the balance on their end has been paid in full.

XXXX XXXX XXXX issues credit cards under the prosper brand. I had fraud on my card so i filed a police report and reported it to the bank at least 5 times now. Every time i contact them, they tell me i can not speak to a fraud representative on the phone as they dont have phones. The fraud transaction occurred on XX/XX/XXXX for {$510.00} and is still on my account as of writing this. My statement is coming up due on XX/XX/XXXX and the bank representative urges me to pay at least the minimum statement balance, which im not doing. If this affects my credit i will be filing a lawsuit against this bank.

Prosper does not offer any deferment options for actual life events.
I recently experienced a death in my family and when i became apparent to me i would not be able to make a payment i called prosper to request a deferment l, i offered to send documents of funeral arrangements to prove i was not lying and my relationship to the deceased.
Payment are due on the XXXX of every month XXXX XXXX i was told to call back the day after the payment was due. To make a payment arrangements but nothing could be done ahead of time.
XXXX The 2nd time I called exactly as i was told and they told me actually no such options are avaliable and a payment reduction isnt even an options til you are 15 days late..
Now i receive calls twice a day to remind me the payment that i am not able to make, is due. It is unbelievable that prosper chooses to ignore life events such as deaths in the family they are unplanned! As if I'm not grieving and dealing with enough. i can now look forward to their harassment about a situation i tried to address and avoid..
The representative are nice enough i understand it is company policy but to be so rigid is disheartening. Most lenders offer deferment options for situations like this, i have never missed a payment before and its a XXXX shame that this is the situation prosper has led us to due to inhuman " company policy ''.

After 2 years i request a new card because of an unauthorized charge. I set up recurring payments as before, yet prosper in all their infinite wisdom and knowledge, try to withdraw a payment from an account that isn't mine nor is listed on payment option for payments. after repeated calls and over 3months of back and forth, they keep moving my payment date to 6 days later and {$1.00} less than my minimum due. Constantly getting letters requesting more than required every month no matter how many calls i make or visits to web site. Plus all the phone reps show a lack of interest and intelligence when I explain letter I have from them and detail info and yet still deny it is their problem and not mine. Don't know how or where they get their info from or who is authorized to change info once entered but it was done. So because of that I am done. Both my wife and I had separate cards and both are now closed. Strongly recommend everybody looks to do business elsewhere as this is a major scam to extract money from people.
