Complaint What Happened Today I received a collection notice in the mail from Global Credit & Collection Corp. The envelope and postage appeared to be junk with " Presorted '' in the stamp square. The letter is claiming that they have taken over " my debt '' from XXXX XXXX and that i owe {$1600.00} to a XXXX XXXX account giving no dates. No idea who XXXX XXXX is either. I have beautiful credit, no unpiad old accounts, nothing at all deliquent, past due or have I ever been late paying. I check my credit through XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX, my bank and credit cards multiple times a week. Its alarming since I do have a XXXX XXXX card, but the info on the letter is not my account info at all, and my balance is much much less, so I have no idea what this debit is. The letter threatens that must I contact them within 30 days or they will assume the debit is valid. I have researched this company to find multiple complaints on a slew of sites including Consumer Affairs, all about scamming. One person said this company put hard inquiries on the their credit report with false amounts owed- they did get it removed, but how are they able to do that?! Also every person spoke of repeat harrassing phone calls, rude language, vauge information, and the representatives hanging up on them. Also, one of the complaints claimed to have spoken to an attorney who verified that this company in a scam and not a real collection agency. I found that they are not XXXX accredited, appear to be from XXXX and are using XXXX addresses. I am hesitant to call them because i do not want more phone calls, I get enough solicitors that I do not answer even though I am on the do not call list. They are crazy if they think i will give them any of my information. I also do not want my credit compromised due to this fraud so i will keep monitoring and hopefully I wont have to dispute this. I have worked very hard to be in good standing, and for someone to mess with it to scam me is just not right. Be careful, do not fall for this!

Complaint What Happened I had a XXXX Card and then entered into a debt counseling program. There was an outstanding balance from XXXX that was turned over to Global Credit and Collection ( Global ). My issue is with Global. I received a letter in XXXX. I mailed a check in the envelope and stub printed and sent to me by Global. It was to a PO Box . It was returned by the USPS. I tried calling Global, I either get XXXX wanting a credit card number or I get voicemail box. No way to pay online was provided in the letter. I filed a XXXX Complaint. Global stated the PO Box is valid, but, provided a STREET ADDRESS and a web address, after three exchanges through XXXX. I attempted to pay the {$34.00} I owe online. I get a message that payments must be greater than or equal to : {$200.00}. I DO NOT OWE ANYWHERE CLOSE TO THAT AMOUNT. I do owe the {$34.00}. I tried calling XXXX to pay them dir, but, once an account is turned over, they can no longer accept payment. Global seems to be a very unprofessional and scamming organization. Theres no business website that I could find. Requires a payment WAY ABOVE what I owe, I cant speak to someone here in the States. I have a check ready to mail, but, I am rather hesitant because I dont trust Global. Please look into this organization. Seems like a rip off, scamming organization.

Complaint What Happened I receive a call from Global Credit And Collection Corp XXXX/XXXX/16. The representative was name XXXX and supervisor was XXXX. Both were abusive and hostile and threatening.
