I filed a complaint with XXXX through the XXXX website and received confirmation that the complaint had been accepted. Upon contacting XXXX directly, they advised that I would not be allowed access to my credit report for 30-45 days pending the investigation of the dispute. Additionally, because I had not verified information through their website, I would not be able to obtain status of this dispute until after it was resolved, again back to 30-45 days. Of course, none of these warnings were given to me prior to filing the dispute. Despite accepting the dispute from XXXX, they would not take additional disputes from me until the original dispute single item was resolved which could take 30-45 days thought there are multiple inaccuracies on my credit report, which they still provide to 3rd parties.
The entire complaint starts information being reported to the credit bureau as the result of a Cash Call/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Loan which was included in a XX/XX/17 settlement with the State of Oklahoma in which the debt was to be forgiven and negative information removed from the credit bureaus. Despite this and numerous settlements in multiple states and federal courts regarding these loans, all three credit bureaus continue to perpetuate the fraud by allowing collection agencies to report this information. As a consumer who has already been the victim of predatory lending as deemed by several Attorneys General and Federal Court Action, I now fight a system in which collections agency information is accepted as fact, with no due diligence on the accuracy or legality of the information by the bureaus who report it or the collection agencies who own it. The collection agency in question XXXX XXXX XXXX, obtained the debt 6 months after the settlement and despite easily accessible public information regarding the settlements, still tries to collect it, even today when I was calling to find out why it had not been removed.
Meanwhile, the credit reporting agencies take no responsibility for the legality or accuracy of the information being given to them. The collections agencies take no responsibility for knowing anything about the debt the buy en masse and there are no consequence and its up to individual consumers to do all the leg work. It feels that the entire systems is set up as a FRAUD against consumers. Guilty until you prove yourself innocent.
All the while, new processes are put in place to protect these agencies and allow them to perpetuate information the factual inaccurate information on lengthy times that are not acceptable in the digital age. All parties seem to have and excuse not to do anything, while consumers are denied credit or fight lengthy battles on artificial timelines through convoluted process just to correct information that should be there to begin with.
Frankly, I could commit a crime and the constitution protects me from double jeopardy yet we routinely allow credit reporting agencies to impose double jeopardy in Charge Off accounts with subsequent collections accounts ( sometimes in multiples ) as the debt is sold and resold. While I am not a Constitutional Lawyer, our founding fathers probably didn't foresee our digitally enabled world, they were onto something with the Fifth Amendment. We allow this credit reporting oligopoly to collude solely for their own benefit with no consequences. Yet we wonder why Americans question if the system is rigged against them - it is!
Believe it or not, there is even more to the story. I give up!!!

In late 2013 I was late paying off a loan to Cashcall. I talked to someone who said if I sent {$100.00} now + the remainder of the money I owed in a couple of weeks ( I believe ) that my debt would be paid. I did that, I sent {$100.00} and the remainder of the debt. I went on with life assuming it was done, and I get contacted again and they want another {$2500.00} + in interest accumulated on the {$100.00} I failed to pay. I did pay that, I paid what I was asked to pay. Now they want me to pay this ridiculous amount in fees and I refuse. They have filed a negative credit report on me, and now it's ruining my credit through no fault of my own. I have all of the email correspondence between me and Cashcall in this matter. I am just having an issue accessing them to post here, but I have them and can and will be able to send them all later

The guy claim his name is XXXX XXXX and he work for a debt collection agency for a online payday loans company. This man has call my job since the first week in XXXX. He will call my job several times in one day. I ask him to stop calling my job and he still does. I told him verbally and by e-mail. I ask him for more information on this loan who I got it through but he will not provide it for me. All he keep saying is a online payday loan. I ask him to stop calling my phone but he still calls. XXXX is demanding I pay him money by putting it on a gift card from XXXX or I tune card. I have had the police to tell him to stop calling and he still calls. My boss has told him I can not take personal calls and he still calls and my boss had the police to talk to him. This man is making me ill. I am not sure if this is his name because of the foreign accent. I can not get him to stop calling my job. I don't owe this debt as far as I no. When XXXX call the job and I refuse to talk to him some kind of way he will have all the phones ringing in the office all at the same time. I no he is a scammer but I don't no how to keep him from calling my job. I have the number block from my phone. I have also got in contact with a debt collection agency for online payday loan debts and they told me it was a scam. They do not do money on a gift card.

I owed a company for a loan I applied for XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX, I began making the payments with a collection company. I was to make 8 payments, then the loan would be paid in full. I made the last payment XX/XX/XXXX and was promised a paid in full letter. I paid a total of {$1400.00}. XX/XX/XXXX, another collection agency contacted a couple of family members stating that I was being charged with fraud. I immediately called and found out that it was a XXXX collection agency trying to collect for the same company. They proceeded to tell me that there was a APB out on my car and the police were in route to come and arrest me. She proceeded telling me she can stop the police if I come up with the balance before XXXX. I tried to explain to her that I had already paid that debt off. But she said that I could explain that to the judge. My kids and I was terrified. We thought I was going to jail. I borrowed my mother 's credit card and paid the balance ... {$1600.00}. They sent me a paid in full letter. By that time, I received a paid in full letter from the first collection company. When I really think back, it never really clicked that this could be a scam. I 'm not sure what happened. These XXXX collection agencies were collecting for the same company. I 'm currently getting my credit repaired. Letters of validation were sent out on my behalf to this particular company. I received the original contract and a letter stating that the debt was sold XX/XX/XXXX, to a totally different collection agency.
