PROVIDING SUPPORT TO STAFF AND PATIENTS BEING TREATED AT BROWARD'S VA CLINICS; 3) ENROLLING VETERANS IN THE VA MEDICAL PORTAL, MY HEALTHEVET; AND 4) TEACHING OLDER ADULTS HOW TO USE TODAY'S TECHNOLOGY. THE PRIMARY FOCUS AREA OF THIS PROJECT IS VETERANS & MILITARY FAMILIES. AT THE END OF THE THREE YEAR GRANT: 1.) A MINIMUM OF 120 MENTORED VETERANS WILL SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THEIR SENTENCE IN BROWARD'S VTC WHILE BEING SUPPORTED BY RSVP VOLUNTEERS; 2.) A MINIMUM OF 1,800 VETERANS WILL BE ENROLLED IN MY HEALTHEVET AND HAVE INCREASED ACCESS TO MEDICAL CARE; 3.) THE VA WILL HAVE INCREASED CAPACITY TO SERVE THOUSANDS OF VETERANS RECEIVING CARE AT BROWARD'S VA CLINICS; 4.) A MINIMUM OF 480 OLDER ADULTS WILL HAVE INCREASED SOCIAL SUPPORT AND INCREASED CAPACITY TO LIVE INDEPENDENTLY THROUGH TECHNOLOGY TRAINING; AND 5.) OLDER ADULTS FREQUENTING SENIOR CENTERS WILL BE SUPPORTED BY RSVP VOLUNTEERS. THE CNCS FEDERAL INVESTMENT OF $127,630 WILL BE SUPPLEMENTED BY $$82,522 NON-FEDERAL SHARE.
